According to me, Hard work is "a person who works and thinks" and smart work is "a person who first thinks and work".

In my opinion, smart work means analyzing the work with maximum efficiency and completing it.
And hard work means doing the same work with minimum efficiency and completing it.

I think there is no difference between hard work and smart work, rather I would say smart work is the extension of hard work as hard work gives you experience and smart work comes from experience.
So until, you have the experience you cannot work smartly.

First of all, both hard work and smart work are essential to accomplish something.
While doing smart work, it requires mental ability and critical thinking quality to design the plan and strategy. Foresee the challenges and making a strategy that gives us results in very little time. It is a mental activity.
Hard work requires dedication, strength, patience as it takes longer. It assures you about accomplishing your goal but will take time. It is a physical as well as mental activity.

The difference between hard work and smart work is based on how I approach my task. Hard work would be spending long hours to complete my work without any shortcuts. Smart work would be aiming for the same results but with planning and prioritization of tasks.

I believe that smart work comes from hard work. Because one can experience smart work after doing the hard work. So both plays the important role to get better results.

I believe smart work always comes after hard work.
First, you need to understand the process thoroughly doing the hard work and then analyzing where you can reduce your time and efforts is smart work.

Hard work is the origin of smart work. Hard work means completing work without any shortcuts. And only after completing that work perfectly we will be able to understand the steps or strategies that can be skipped or simplified in order to achieve the same result, and such a simplified way of working is smart work.

Hard work is that you are doing something without thinking any effective way.
Smart work is that you are doing same thing with the less work and getting more output.

I think hard work and smart work go hand in hand. Without doing hard work you cannot do smart work so both things are equally important.
