Women Empowerment - A Cause for Increasing Divorce Rate in India

Women Empowerment refers to increasing and improving the social, economic, political and legal strength of the women, to ensure equal right to women, and to make them confident enough to claim their rights, such as:

- Freely live their life with a sense of self-worth, respect, and dignity.

- Have complete control of their life, both within and outside of their home and workplace.

- To make their own choices and decisions.

- Have equal rights to participate in social, religious and public activities.

- Have equal social status in the society.

- Have equal rights for social and economic justice.

- Determine financial and economic choices.

- Get equal opportunity for education.

- Get equal employment opportunity without any gender bias.

- Get safe and comfortable working environment.

I shall start the GD. Women's Empowerment means making females capable of their living. Encourage females to start joining in the journey of being independent.

In my opinion, it is not women's empowerment that's the reason for divorce in India. But Indian culture of child marriage, forceful marriage, etc.

Apart from that, there can be many reasons for divorce. The compatibility, and behavior towards each other.

In contrast, women empowerment helps nation, female, villages to stand, to grow.

To sum up, I'd like to end by saying women's empowerment is necessary in countries like India. Females have the right to enjoy their lives too. If they are bound by marriage, then divorce is also right in my eye.

Yes I think so, but first of all, I want to clear a point that it is better for that woman who live a life in which her husband does not respects her not love her and always trying to dominant on her and do fatal attack on her so in that situation it is better to take divorce and live a happy life.

But on other hand if a woman is not empowered or we can say self-dependent and no one support her than it was very tough situation for her because she have to depend on someone for her need that's why she does not take divorce, on the other hand, self-dependent women can easily take divorce and live a happy life so I think women empowerment is the reason for divorce or we can say that women employment is reason for a lady to live a life which she want and deserve.

First of all, Women Empowerment encourages them to take initiative for them. In the past, women were forced to live inside the house, can't get educated, have to put a long veil on her face, were not allowed to speak to male members, were not allowed to take any decisions. They were living like a maid who only had to work in the kitchen. Nothing else, But now the time is changed. They can speak up for their rights. They can take their own decisions. They can make them educated. They have the right to do something for themselves. So, if you say women empowerment is a cause for divorce. I do not agree with this. It is happening because of not spending quality time with each other. They are not have a good conversation. Also, because of misunderstandings!

Actually, it is right that empowerment is the main reason for increasing divorce rate in India. It is not my sympathy towards patriarchal mentality. It is right that thanks to the feminist movement Indian woman get's liberty and equality. But they often forget the meaning of liberty. They think that liberty means involving in sex with other person after marriage and blaming their husband and their family that they torture her repeatedly after marriage. So the girl and her family are going to the police station and misuse article 498-A. So the family of the inevitable bot is arrested and naturally the girl demands divorce and so easily she is able to collect it. And the girl marries other rich person and leads a peace and prosperous life.

I think more than women empowerment it is feminists who are to be blamed for increasing divorces. Feminists advocate a 'my life my choice' kind of life. This is a very selfish view of life. In a society it is rather 'Our life our choice'. Relationships are never constant and must persist through the thick and thin of life. Today due to the selfish feminist point of view, women are advised to walk out of marriage at the slightest discomfort. Instead of encouraging selfishness in the name of empowerment, women must be advised to get over anger, ego, hatred which will help in sustaining a relationship. This so called western way of empowerment increases female ego unnecessarily. Also developing good qualities are necessary for men as well.

Empowerment means to vest with authority. I don't think that women empowerment is any cause for divorces at present age. Instead they make the roots of relation strong. If the women empowerment is not taking place the somewhere each &every person is responsible. Think once again you would recognize that there is rapid change in condition of literally as well as financially.

Many great women personalities have supported our country to come forward. And as a result others have also taken lot of inspiration by them and every women is trying to achieve sky and I'm sure that they would success on day and that day would come sooner.

Now I would like to come on the topic. The topic is given to us women empowerment - a cause for increasing divorce rate in India. Women empowerment is empowering to take their own decisions for their personal and social development and would also mean encouraging women to be self-reliant and have generated them to face any problem in their lives with courage.

If we think women empowerment is a cause of increasing divorce rate in India it is a gesture towards our backward thinking. There is no relationship between this and that. The increasing divorce rate is due to misunderstanding between spouse's and domestic violence, harassment from in-laws and dowry system etc.

My birthday is tomorrow and so I am trying to get away from topics like this at least for one night and one day and just breathe, look out the windows at the beautiful western sky and creatures. What this person has written at the outset is absolutely the trends for quite some time and there is no need arguing about this. Females of all stripes know exactly what had been happening whether they try to justify right from wrong present from past.

Fact is, they are out for #1 and as much money as they can get in the process HERE in western decayed culture. Think we aren't paying for this so called liberation? Something created us all and that something will take care of the perpetrators AND they are not just Independent women guys!

Hello everyone, stop deciding who is the culprit?we should never blame a person whether it is a he or she for getting separated from each other, rather we should blame the situation. These days women empowerment is essential because a country can't be developed if the citizens of it keep on fighting among themselves that who is better man or woman rather than focusing the improvements they can bring together.

For this the society have to change their mindset, opportunity doesn't with a name on it, you have to grab yours, whether it is a he or she.

So women empowerment has no role with the divorce rate in India because if a couple is happy together nothing can come in between them, at the end of the day they will be together.
