Women Empowerment - A Cause for Increasing Divorce Rate in India

Yes, Women empowerment is the cause, because in India, women's taking the word women empowerment for granted. Since women are earning more than men many women feel not to get married or think why should they listen or compromise to others, and have become more arrogant and egoistic than women's of previous generations. Women's of this generation want to live life as per their terms and conditions than mutual decisions of their partner. Unless stringent laws which makes divorce a stringent process and gender equality, more and more divorce will happen than marriages in this country.

I feel here Women empowerment means not only education or financial independence. India the laws are heavily loaded against men and most women are aware of it and misuse. I have seen many false dowry cases, infidelity in work place, scare men emotionally, keep telling him how he is not up to the mark, I have seen it all around me. When we got married, I was told by my parents that I should treat my mother in law as my own. We drew our boundaries and were very happy with each other. Nowadays, you can't tell any girl anything because they always think they are right. Give and take policy is gone and nobody is a winner ultimately. Nobody has any pity for the tormented males. God help Indian men henceforth.

I want to say that women empowerment is not good or not bad if we will talk about it the kids will become on the divorce the main thing is that.

In my opinion, women empowerment is nothing but the right to run familly or society in proper manner. I agree with the statment that an educated lady can run her familly in better way than an uneducated women because far every child home is frist school and mother is first is teacher so an educated mother can teach decorum and right things to her child in better way and we all know that earlier days women are mostly depend on the male member of her family for every thing and just becouse of this dependency they had to tolerate everything mostly time they are being harrassed molested threatend still they didn't say anything becouse they know that after living him how could the survive so, I think empowermet is neccessary for women to be independent and confident and if we talk about the divorce it is totally depend on the understanding and I would like to say that if are not feeling that your relation is running properlly couple should talk about and try to understand to both but if you are feeling that just becouse of some issues like dowry and giving birth of a girl child you are being harrased and threated you should seperate yourself becouse I think being alone is better than being with devil. Thank you.

I believe that empowering a women we are making our country's backbone strong and leading towards the development. Talking about divorce its a taboo but there are several causes for it but solely blaming women empowerment its not justified. I would like to express in few points.

First point :women empowerment. PARTIALLY YES! Because they have freedom to take decision if they are not comfortable in any matter. Earlier they have no choice except to depend on male even after being harassed, abused, threaten or being thrashed for dowry. So they can do nothing, just bear the exploitation and remain silent. But now they have freedom to raise out matter and take decision as per them.

Second point :Forced marriage. Some families in order to expand their business empire or just for converting.

Their friendship into relation they force their children to get engaged without seeking their views.

Third point :Misuse of ipc 498 A, can contribute to divorce by falsely accusing or blaming male.

Forth point : Family interference. Sometimes possessive parent's decision for their children mislead them and they don't get a chance to of second thought about their decision.

At the same time we can't ignore the affect of modernisation which is being served us by the media. Some get inspire from them and do as they watch.

Lastly, conflict in between families : In some cases, not capable of settling down the matter in between saas and bahu.

So clearly from every direction their in no point in saying that women empowerment is accountable for increasing divorce rate.

In my point of view, there is no link between women empowerment and divorce. Women empowerment is a part of equality between Men and Women. It is part of our nation. But I simply regret this, because of women empowerment only there is a chance for divorce is a foolishness one. Divorce is a misunderstanding between two couples. As a woman, I feel very happy because nowadays women freedom is as much in the nation compared to our previous years. So we (women) should use the empowerment in a good way. This empowerment is not for us to fight with men and hurt a man it is our rights and freedom we should use our rights and freedom in the best manner.

According to me, the main cause of divorce in our society is definitely not the women empowerment. It's true that earlier days women were not arguing with their husband as there rite comes in between but as we see socially women are not left behind now a days, they are working with men in shoulder to shoulder. Yes, in some cases we can take this because empowerment broad financial independent for women in our society as well as ego problems between the couples and that ego is leading to divorce. But the main reason behind the divorce are women empowerment sence the equation of our society, broad misunderstanding between husband and wife both and lack of interaction because lack of time multiplied it. And finally misunderstanding concluding to divorce. Nuclear family fashion is also a root cause.

Women empowerment cannot be considered as a reason for increasing divorces in India women empowerment has provided women with equal rights as men but this doesnt mean that the divorce rates has gone up just because of this. Divorce occurs mainly because of personal misunderstandings.

In my point view, women empowerment is not a cause of divorce. Divorce rate depends on the mutual understanding mutual trust and on the compatibility between them. And women empowerment is an entirely different thing. Women empowerment means to give authority to take decision independently. Even educated women can run their family better. She can educate their children properly. Sometimes husbands feel insulted due to their uneducated wife and they started to fight and they don't love her and this becomes the cause of divorce. If the husband is educated then an educated wife or women can read his mind his lifestyle better than uneducated women and can adjust properly. And women empowerment helps in developing the country economically and it creates equality. Hence according to me, women empowerment is not a reason of divorce rate somehow it helps in decreasing the divorce rate.

In my opinion, women empowerment is not a cause for increasing divorce rate in India. Today we are encouraging women to move forward in their life, to lead a better life but that doesn't mean that it leads to the divorce rate. As we refer to the social issue of triple talaq which is considered illegal in India due to which many Muslim women were left by their husbands, Muslim men used to misuse this rule which ruined the life of many muslim Muslim So government has ammended strongly against those men so that there may not be more divorce rates in India.
