Women Empowerment - A Cause for Increasing Divorce Rate in India

Women empowerment can never be a cause for increasing divorce rate in IN. Indians follow patriarchal pattern of society. From childhood whether it is a girl or boy we are told and have seen that tasks for a girl/boy or a women/ man were segregated rather on discriminative basis. We were brought up in a society where right from family to the politics every aspect is dominated by men. But today in the 21st century world is becoming liberal, equal opportunities are being given to both men and women. But somehow some orthodox people of this patriarchal society cannot digest the truth that women can be better than them and they can also be at the apex of every area. This insecurity among men and others who believe that men are superior and women are not is causing tension in the families and hence in the societies. With coming new changes in the world I think everyone should adapt with the new changes and new thoughts that is the only way we can live in a peaceful and prosperous society.

Women empowerment is not a reason for divorce. It will because of the mind set of men. If a daughter works outside he feels so proud but if his wife goes for a work he can't digest it which is equal to his status. So women empowerment is not a reason for a divorce it all depends on the mindset of the men.

If you say they are both different but yes somehow connected with each other.

Divorce happens when there ia a misunderstanding or maybe the are not adjusting with each others nature but then why is women empowerment coming in it? Cause our society is male dominating and women are forced to sit back home and earlier no women was allowed to work, so they were fully dependent on men but today as the women are empowered they are self made so no more depended on men and can live alone. Divorce and women empowerment are connected as early years when women were not treated well or given equal rights men used to ill treat women and as women's were dependent on men they could not take any step but used to just tolerate it but today if this happened no need to tolerate it you have opportunities you can live alone and do better it's not about women It's about the behaviour of the society toward them and that must changed, women's thoughts should be respected as men.

Women empowerment A cause for increasing divorce rate in India. Is this statement is totally wrong because women empowerment and divorce is a two different things. Divorce is happening for misunderstanding of husband and wife. Women empowerment means a given authority and power to do something. To gaining the right and freedom. Education is the first stage of empowerment. Girl's right is a human right. According to the Indian Constitution, everyone has a freedom right.

I agree partially that woman empowerment a cause for increasing divorce rate in India because empowerment means awareness of powers of human in this woman knows about her rights.

In an earlier time, women were told that you have been like a maid in her husbands home and they serve their entire life to her husband and laws.

As now in the 21st century, they are aware of their rights so they can raise their voice against the violence and molestation harassments so we can say awareness of women empowerment cause for increasing rate in India.

In my opinion, knowing your fundamental right is not a reason for divorce is a family issue it totally depends upon the individual whether they want to stay with each other or separate from each other women does not need to be empowered because they are already empowered like they play so different role in life first they are a daughter of someone then they become wife then they become mother.

Certainly not. Instead, Women empowerment is the need of power. We live in a free country and most often talk about the right of freedom and equality. But we lose our ground when it comes to treating the women of our society in an equitable manner. Why so? The stigma and attitude which our society has, against women will take India nowhere. Rather India will be pushed back from where she is today. Women are the one who revivifies home, they are the ones who can take India to the next level where it aspires to reach. A better woman makes a better country.

Empowerment is nothing but giving power to someone to do something. Women empowerment is giving power, freedom to women to do what they like. According to the Indian constitution, all have equal rights and freedom irrespective of Gender. I did n't support the statement women empowerment is a cause for increasing divorce rate. I think It is due to a misunderstanding between wife and husband. They don't have trust instead of that it is filled with doubt. For me Misunderstanding plays a major role in divorce.

Women empowerment change the perspective of women. When women get the job they become financially active and does not need men in any way. They dominate once it happened.

I think women empowerment is not a cause for increasing divorce rate in India. If we think that women empowerment increases the divorce rate it is our backward thinking. Empowering women give her equal status with respect to men. Increased rate of divorce is due to a misunderstanding between partners, being emotionless, being bored with relationship and selfishness etc.

Other causes for divorce in India are.

1. Domestic violence.
2. Cheating your partner.
3. Dowry.
4. Impatient.
5. Effect of Western culture.

According to me, if there is love, care and trust in between partners there will be no chance for divorce.
