Women Empowerment - A Cause for Increasing Divorce Rate in India

In my opinion. There is no relation between empowerment of women and divorce. Marriage is a sacred thing and all we know that women are more loyal than men do.

So, empowering women will lead men to increase their financial graph. By empowering women by giving confidence opportunities to women will lead our nation to become the leader of world by 2020. You can screen Hollywood movies. In that movies women are no lesser than men.

So women empowerment means better future of India.

According to me, Empowering women is to make them independent in all aspects of mind, thought, rights, decisions, etc by leaving all the social and family limitations. It is to bring equality in the society for both male and female in all areas. It is empowering women to understand their rights to be independent in every area for their proper growth and development.

The reason of divorces is the lack of mutual understanding and trust. So there is no relation between Women empowerment and Divorces.

Today we are discussing about the topic "women's empowerment a cause for increasing divorce rate in India".

First of all, I want to tell you about what is women's empowerment?

Women empowerment means to increase the strength of women encourages them to face any difficulties educate them to create awareness about their rights. In my opinion, women's empowerment is not a driving factor for the increasing divorce rate. It happens because of misunderstandings between couples.

I personally think that if men have the right to study, get good job, etc.., then why women are restricted to study? being a human being they also have the right to their wishes. If they want to be independent, they can no one can stop them.

If we talk about divorce rates, then may be sometimes it is women mistake but not always, actually a few times. Most of the time its because of men. Moreover, if thoughts of two people don't match so its better that they leave each other at the right time.

Why is divorce increasing?

Many reasons are there. Reasons are basically due to high expectation out of marriage. Secondly money problems. One other reason is friends who spoil our relationships They give wrong advice some of which hurt our relationship and marriage ends up in rock.

If we will consider some foreign countries where women are as empowered as men then we will observe that their divorce is very common. I think it is more important for a man or a woman to live a happy life than a married life. So if divorces are result of empowerment then it proves we moved toward women empowerment.

But it will take us (men) some time to understand and accept this as we have grown up in male dominating society. But slowly the things will change and this factor will diminish in divorce cases. But for the moment I think it is one of the factors responsible for the divorce cases.

Women empowerment is empowering the women to take their own decisions for their personal dependent. Empowering women are to make them independent in all aspects of mind, thought, rights, decisions, etc by leaving all the social and family limitations. It is to bring equality in the society for both male and female in all areas. Women empowerment is very necessary to make the bright future of the family, society, and country. Women need fresh and more capable environment so that they can take their own right decisions in every area whether for themselves, family, society or country.

I feel, that although WM is not directly responsible for the in increase the divorce rates, it has indirectly exposed the suppression of women in the past.

In the last two centuries, the woman was in dark of her rights, hence, she was taken advantage of by the husband/ in-laws. With WM, she has become aware of her rights and refuses to be exploited.

This refusal results in a divorce, and a collection of these such incidents reflects in an increased divorce rate. That is point one.

Point two. The increasing laws in the favour of women, in the last 30 or so years, has resulted in a pack of unaware women who are basically in the game of misusing these laws eg - divorce law, dowry law - to gain access to the land/ money of the husband/ in laws. This further results in the increase of the divorce rate chart.

So, although WM is not responsible for increased divorce rates directly, it has indirectly exposed the harsh reality of the yesteryears & is also indicative of the issues an unaware empowerment mind can create.

Women Emopowerment is not the only the reason to increase divorse rate. Many other reasons are also responsible for increase in divorse rate. But Women empowerment is also one of them. Earlier, her husband do not respect or bahave good with her but she adjust with her husband because she were thinks about her single life after divorced. At that no one support her so she could be dependable for her needs. Now senario is change. Women is empowered. So she can take divorse easily and live her life happily which she want and deserve it. She can't be dependable on anyone for her needs. So women empowerment increases the divorse rate.

According to me, increasing divorce rate in India is not because of women empowerment. It is just because of nowadays, women have been very smart. They have decided not to cry but to fight against injustice. Women are nowadays aware of the law, legislation.

Men were cheating with their wife from too many years back. They had extra marital affairs and all. But in those days, women were not too smart to recognize that. But now women are too smart. Nowadays, they have started using a hidden camera, web cam, GPS tracker and they are now able to see their husband. Where is he and with whom?

And another thing, if men are loyal to their wife, respecting her and transparency in their relationship and both should give an equal status and respect to each other, then there is no chance to start conflict and arguments. It just depends on how you are treating your life partner, not on men or women empowerment.
