Women are not fit for Defense Services

It is not women who are weak, it is the mindset of the people, which looks women as weak. I think women must be given a chance to prove themselves. If in both men and women are living, then must get an equal chance to give their life for the country.

I know that every girl is not suitable for defence but if 93% of girls are not suitable for defence 7% of the girls are perfect for it. You can't compare every girl to one other. Some boys are also weak than why you don't say boys are also weaker sex. You all know how to point out on girls but why not on boys.

THIS MEANS THAT WHO SAYS ILL FOR GIRLS ARE HAVING THEIR THOUGHTS AND MIND ILL.

According to me, there should not be any gender partiality in any sector whether it is an army or any other service sector. Whether the person fits for a post of an army will totally depend on the person itself and not on the gender. If a person is physically and mentally fit for the position, there should not be any room for doubt in his/her capabilities. Inequalities arises when a eligible women haven't been given that opportunity.

I totally respect the recent decision made by the supreme court of India in respect of women in army. I hope It will be proved as a great step and will able to break all gender-stereotypes.

Well, You folks are on the right track but you all are not right. Women can be the part of the defense services but at the same time they are not fit for it. Though there are some exceptions but you can't deny the rules designed by nature. Women can be strong enough from their mind but they cannot be as strong as man in physical prospective.

Hence, You can utilize their precised focus for the defense but not the physic, Obviously if you are looking for the best defense force.

As simple as man cannot be as warm as mother.

Friends, I too don't agree that women are not fit for defense services. In my view women are behind every successful person as a wife, partner, friend, teacher, etc in every aspects of life. We must need to recall our memory and we will understand the fact. A soldier whether a man or an woman take birth through a woman (mother). So we can't assume that women will be never fit for defense services.

This concept is totally wrong. Today if some women are lacking behind is due to the criticism of society, no support for parents and in our country most of us has a view that women is a made for serving her husband, children, stick to the kitchen, etc. Whereas in foreign a girl is given full freedom. And the crime ratio like rapes, murder, sexual assault is much less than ours one.

I hereby try to summarise my view that we should try to give woman the full power and support and try to engage them in every sector in which men are engaged. Our history and mythology speaks how women took victory overs injustice, crimes, evils, etc. So in special in our India we worship 33 crores god and GODDESSES.

A woman is emotionally very strong person. If a woman loves her country then she is ready to die for it more than a man like she is ready to always die for her husband. Moreover, defense is not just about dying, it is much more and women are superb administrators.

To join defense forces, a girl must first forget that she's a girl. She is no less than any man and defense doesn't differentiate between its personnel whether it be a man or woman.

But if someday country's men fail to come forward to die for nation, government must seek for woman participation in combats along with man.

Captain Radhika Menon in Indian Merchant Navy, is the first lady in the world who got the IMO award for her bravery. And when I talk about Israel where the radio of man and woman in armed forces is almost equal and you people are talking that women are not fit for defence? There is no field in this world where women didn't prove themselves, tell me, is there any field? Women reached on the moon and in space and on mount Everest and now in India women are flying the combat fighters.

Not true at all. If women can control the house take care of the child and her husband displaying great management skills so why the same thing is not applicable in defence?Another question that one might arise is Physical power of women? for them, I have a very simple answer. Who was the one who won the silver prize in wrestling this Olympics? I hope you guys got my point.

According to me, women can join the army, because the girl is not less than a boy. Women can do every work. They look after their family. They do a lot of work compare to the boy. You know very well Rani Lakshmi Bai. She was the first women in our country. She did not fear anyone.

Hi I read most of the post and got to know that most of them who Faber that women should be enrolled on combat are unpractical. Friends in infantry, artillery and in fighting troops there are certain tactics which are fixed and didn't need of more technique. Most important is physical capability. When you have to carry 15 to 20 kg and endurance in mountain then you will come to know what is infantry. What ever decision are taken by superior and defense minister is correct. Women have certain limit and can do serve only in ordinance and AEC. Be practical guys.
