Women are not fit for Defense Services

This topic needs lot of brainstorming before giving any opinion. There is no doubt that women are capable of doing anything they want and they have been proving that since ages but that is not sufficient. I'm sure if women are sent to border to defend nation they will give their life to defend them But I don't think that is place they belong.

I think everyone has a part to play and that depends on us how smart we are in selecting our choices. When it comes to defence services, soldiers and big army is not enough to win the war, you need resources and information. I say women could be brains and men can be muscles.

It is true that women generally are not as strong as men physically. But that doesn't mean they are not fit for defensive services as modern warfare or defense operations are not about fighting with your physical strength.

Its not like they will be exchanging fists in the war. They will have all kinds of modern weapons for that. Also being a defense personnel doesn't mean having brute force only. It requires an individual with balanced mind who can take good decisions under critical situations and one has great fitness and stamina.

So, I believe women can do fairly well in defensive services.

Women are perfectly fit to join defense services if they are given proper training. There is nothing a human cannot do then why there is discrimination between men and women. Women stand as the symbol of peace like mother theresa and at the same time they can be a symbol of courage like rani lakshmi. We all say that she can't handle the physical pain, people please don't forget the pain that every girl goes by giving birth. Not to forget that we can our nation as mother India. Then why this cheap discrimination between men and women. Women are equally capable to men and are fit in All sectors.

A woman is emotionally very strong person. If a woman loves her country then she is ready to die for it more than a man like she is ready to always die for her husband. Moreover, defense is not just about dying, it is much more and women are superb administrators.

To join defense forces, a girl must first forget that she's a girl. She is no less than any man and defense doesn't differentiate between its personnel whether it be a man or woman.

But if someday country's men fail to come forward to die for nation, government must seek for woman participation in combats along with man.

Hi I read most of the post and got to know that most of them who Faber that women should be enrolled on combat are unpractical. Friends in infantry, artillery and in fighting troops there are certain tactics which are fixed and didn't need of more technique. Most important is physical capability. When you have to carry 15 to 20 kg and endurance in mountain then you will come to know what is infantry. What ever decision are taken by superior and defense minister is correct. Women have certain limit and can do serve only in ordinance and AEC. Be practical guys.

I think women can play an important role in defense services. Our honourable prime minister has showed women power to the whole world on this republic day. America president Mr.Obama has appreciated it. It is proved already that women is not less than men in any field. We talk about equality, giving rights to women is not only the equality. It should actually happen in practical. Women can do everything, what a man can do. She is not made to be called as house wife. If she will be given proper training like men then she can also contribute in this field.

In my opinion.

Girls can join defence forces but not to fight on borders. As I think the way a male soldier can fight girls can't and if girls manage to do that also then we have to think about the consequences of becoming prisoner during wars, then what will happen to girls they will be raped, brutalised that they can't withstand.

But there are other corps are available in defence like armed medical forces, engineering forces, law, education etc.

It is not like that girls can not join defence forces they can but not on the borders to fight.

From a very early period considering the history of our nation we could see fighter women like Rani Lakshmi Bai, Razia Sultana. They all have set examples by breaking the odds out and fighting for their nation, so why there is now a question being put upon the profession she should choose. Just because being a fragile personality doesn't imply a women need to search professions other than defense. They are equivalently strong as men. If a women is restricted from serving nation by protecting it we may loose assets like Kiran Bedi in future.

I'm totally against the statement that women should not join defense services. Why the doors are closed before a girl if she wants to join defense? women are equally powerful as men. They too wants to serve nation through defense.

Actually it gives a girl more self confidence and a different kind of power. She would be given more respect in the society. It is a matter of pride for a nation to show that our country is not behind in women power. Actually I'm also a girl who wants to join defense services. My parents are also supporting me.

In my opinion, women are fit for every service a man can do, But involving her really in defence sector is not good in my opinion.

There are various fields in which women are doing great but in defence when there is peace women are good but in war there are casualties and being a man I cannot see a women die for her country for our country, Its man's responsibility to protect his nation, although its up to her that she wants to fight for her country but still I don't like it.
