Which is more important: Creativity or Efficiency?

This is a very interesting topic, which one is much superior?

Look, both the two words creativity and efficiency are interrelated.

How? Let, me give an example.

I am doing electronics engineering. Our professor's intension is more on time scales. If a system providing less error in a small interval, we prefer more to it.

Now, Creativity.

Without Creative knowledge, we would be like our ancestors.

Human is an animal who is creative and developing in nature. We create and invents lots of things, which happens due to creativeness among people.

" Neither white nor black, it's a mixture of two".

In fact not only creativity or efficiency there are more factors like intelligence quality, emotional quality are also important factors.

Greetings to everyone. My name is Gopika and here I would like to express my thoughts on creativity and efficiency.

I would say creativity and efficiency are two different things but they go hand in hand. Most of the innovations come from creative people like aeroplanes right brother's phones, bulbs, etc.

They might have taken a lot of time to this conclusion but they were creative that's what glued them to attain success.

In the case of efficiency once an innovative thing happens we will have lots of experiment studies on the topic and it will lead to a better solution. There we need efficiency because we are already aware of the basic conclusion to where we need to reach. So, to fasten the process with improvement we need efficiency over creativity.

In my point of view, both creativity and efficiency are complementary of each other.

Creativity without efficiency has no as much value as with efficiency and efficiency without creativity.

Creativity is the implementation of your thoughts into reality but if it's taking too much effort (mean lacking efficiency), it's not as much value as it should be on the other hand if Something is efficient but it has no creativity then it may be difficult to operate, to understand, to apply etc.

I think 'Hand can't perform better without mind and at the same time mind can't without hand. Both can perform better by Uniting'.

So, Creativity & Efficiency both are good but by uniting these can give 'Better'.

This is the question, which is more important? Creativity or efficiency,

My vote goes to creativity because in my perspective, efficiency is the outcome of the creativity which leads us to create this comfortable, efficient world that we have now.

In other words, creativity is a thing that the same work can be done in different ways, any one of those ways from will have more efficiency compared to others.

Imagine a world without phones, its an object invented by humans to skip the complex communication system, right!?

Now, with only one object, we can communicate from anywhere of the world.

So, I am trying to say that without creativity nothing can be effective.

According to me, creativity is far more important than efficiency because when there is creativity, there will be a chance of improving the efficiency of the system. I will try to elaborate on it with an example suppose, you are an owner of an organisation and the organization is running for more than 5-6 years, every day producing the same product. So, you will surely try to increase the profit of the organisation by cutting down the rate of producing per unit which will require a new method of producing the product. There comes a role of creativity, getting a new idea to increase the profit will definitely help you to be creative and that's what creativity is all about.

I want to share my views on the topic of creativity and efficiency. In my point of view, both are two sides of the same coin. Because without creativity. We can't perform our work efficiently. And without efficiency, having creativity is useless. Moreover, we are humans, we think out of the box sometimes. If we have a creative mind then we can do wonders in our life with the help of efficiency. Efficiency means the accuracy of our actions. So we do our actions accurately when we have the ability of creative thinking ability. We get the creativity ability by performing consistently our actions. At the end, both are important.

I would like to keep my point of view, according to me, I think that creativity and efficiency both are very important, in their places but yes I can say that creativity is that which is more necessary because we can build efficiency by practising and maximizing our capabilities because efficiency is the power and capacity we have to work on time within minimum utilisation of resources but creativity is something we have to need because if we don't have it then how can we think and develop new ideas how we work on it. Creative plus efficient both are important and if we work with both we will get maximum outcome. That's what I think. Thanks.

I feel that the creativity and efficiency both are equally important. Because a man can something with the amalgamation of both. Creativity denoted the ideas that generated in mind of a human. But efficiency is necessary to implement this in the shortest time. So if a man can do something with the amalgamation of both who can invent some better than others.

For example in an organization a man who is Creative from the mind and develop a lot of ideas for the product, so if we use these ideas in the organisation with the amalgamation of other people which is effective in his work. Then new products can change the growth of the company.

As per my perspective, efficiency does not come & go, it takes time and effort to be visible in any work. An individual has to fail at the first step, then he has to practice more to uplift himself, and gradually he will achieve efficiency. So I think a person should know how to experiment and how to be creative, once he learns how to be creative, it's not that much difficult for him to attain efficiency. While experimenting, a person will definitely make mistakes, but mistakes give us an opportunity to learn. When we utilize this opportunity, it does miracles. Those miracles can be called as efficiency. As a conclusion, "Creativity is the mother of efficiency".

Creativity and efficency both are important traits. Our personal as well as professional success depends upon both. Choosing one above the another depends upon situation to situation. Creativity becomes more important when it comes to innovation. New idea's, developing something new requires creativity first. It's okay to have less efficency at initial stages. But as the time goes, we need to start improving thereby increasing our efficency level. Again to increase our efficiency, it does require creativity, new techniques to learn, adapt and improve our work.

Thus both creativity and efficency are inter related with each other.
