I am talking from my perspective, not being an Indian citizens. I am from Norway. I hope you can see it from my side please.
Do we not want to live in a world where everyone gets their needs and supplies for their families? having a life is something every soul should be able to experience. We have all seen poor people who does not have jobs, or so because they did not have money for education. Think about others for once! When you were a child you went to school and university and got a manageable job that supplies for you and your family. Those children being born today on the street in India, with a sick parent. What choice do they have? NON! Was it their fault that their mother was sexual abused and got pregnant? NO. Now imagine this child. How can the child go to school, where he/she has to get money to go to, without even having money. This child lives in a country or society that does not care about this one child. The government can not keep track on every citizens. They can't care about this child, because they don't know she/he exist! There are so many kids that are not noticed by the government because they are less worthy and poor living on the street. Some kids might be forced to ask for money on the street. Who do they get forced to do this by? Who is standing behind the wall and taking the money the kids earn right out of their hands?
All this! Has to do with the country not having control over all its people. The country is too small itself to keep as many people in it. The Planet Earth is not capable to have overpopulation. It is of course not just India having this problem, but since we are discussing India's population issue. There is a clear problem I would say, and anyone can see that somehow. I think that for the people who are poor and living on the street, think of how much better their live would be if they wouldn't have to live there. The country's population is increasing more and more. The positive impact of India is that they will get a bigger military and become the greatest country in the world. If this is what India wants then they are going in a positive direction for themselves. Though where do they get their military service from? The younger adults and kids on the street. Those mums who did not have money to serve the children she has. The children have to start working from very young ages. Most people reading this now, has someplace to live, money to care for them. When the population increases more and more, believe how many people there would be walking around. Do they have a place to live? There is known that the villages in India are to be the biggest problem. Are they the problem? If you compare them to the big cities in India, what is the difference? Big!
I just want to create a bigger awareness of what big impact the population growth have on India. It is not all negative believe me, but there are major consequences that will come! Hope you think about it, and place yourself in this one child situation born on the street.

Reduce population to improve the quality of standard of living. But now blaming India for over population is wrong because we are also part of that. Initiative has to come from us but it is a long process to overcome this problem. Minimum it will take around 80 years from now onward. Giving birth to one child or not giving birth is first step to be done. Instead of giving birth we should help poor people to seek. Benefits.

The one of the reason for our ever increasing population is illiteracy in our country. One good literate couple somewhat better knows about India population and growth and they might be plays a role in population reducing.

Hello my dear friends,
First of all I would like to ask a question, 'does anybody studied about any civilization which was destroyed by its increasing population?' Actually all the civilizations, which were well developed, were destroyed by their decreasing population. So increasing population considered as a problem itself a big problem. You can't blame population over mismanagement of services.
You can consider beggars which are useless, otherwise every person gives service to the nation. 20 years ago Singapore was not a well developed country, because of their low population. But now its a well developed country. Actually their prosperity increased with their population. Now their population density is more than India.
Another fact is the population of a country is increased up to only that level, to which the natural as well as artificial resources of that country allow. If the population crosses that limit the nature itself balances it. So we should not worry about our increasing population instead of it we should be proud of our population because:
TO MAKE THIS COUNTRY WELL DEVELOPED AND PROSPEROUS WE NEED MORE AND MORE HANDS.

Increasing population in India has become a very big problem. To reduce this problem everyone should take part in the awareness programmes. I don't mean that everyone should waste their time and do campaign but we should atleast try to create awareness among the people who are around us.

Hi I'm Anjana and my opinion is that the government had done and think about to reduce the population, and day by day in our India population is increased and as well as increased influence so it is important to reduce the population and government had to rules or constraints and laws on population. A basic problem in our country is that many peoples are not graduated and they do not think about family planning so its is very important that all the people know what is the side effect of increasing the population.

Majority of the people on this group are firm believers of the fact that our population is indeed one of the biggest threat that our nation is facing. With advances in health care and technology, we certainly have won the battle against infant mortality and many other ailments, but on the other side, we have failed miserably in checking the birth rate. And so now, we are adding Australia (in terms of population) every year.
Also, unlike China, where the one child policy has been implemented properly with proper follow up, it is impossible to implement the same as India consists of a large number of religions and being a democratic country, it has to take under consideration the interests of all the different religions and groups. So, in my opinion, we only have one option left, i.e. creating awareness. That is the only possible, viable solution to this problem. Big companies and industries can include awareness programs about the family planning in their CSR activities. Also, govt should make people aware about the same through different broadcasting mediums and I am sure that just like the case of polio, Govt can do wonders in this arena too.

Hi guys, This is Ali, In my opinion Increasing population is one of the burning issues of India, There are several factors that help us to control the population but education is the leading factor that could help us to guide the general public about the importance family planning which creates an awareness among all the people.
In fact government also taking all possible steps to have a control on population but I strongly believe that this is the responsibility on every citizen of India to take steps to control our population. Perhaps science and Technology also plays a crucial role in increasing the population, Advanced research on human and highly advanced machinery leads to save the life that result decline in death rate but this technology is not working at the birth decline.

I don't say that population is really a curse. It is actually a boon as well as an asset for our country.
We people can't force anyone to control population. It is their personal wish to have 1 or 3 children.
Since our country is a developing country we don't have much facilities to accommodate such a big crowd. So if our country becomes a developed one, then it's sure that our country can handle such a big crowd.
For that we have to utilize our brain like Americans and other western countries.
Prevent brain drain and serve for our country.

Hello friends good morning. I am Sirisha Now the topic is regarding the ever increasing population In my opinion, Education plays an important role to make a family planning but don't kill the small children who were taking birth by differentiating as boys and girls. If the family is poor also they should provide education for each and every one. So, Government should educate.
