It is a need of an hour to change the Indian politics drastically, Like any competitive organisations runs it should be like that means value based and target oriented, politicians (may be of any party elected) should show the progress made every after Six months and the value he/she added to his constituency, I guess then only people will get return on the vote they have given for a right candidate.

It is not the question of value based politics, it is the question of value based society. We always curse politicians for doing all wrong i.e. corruption, immorality, fake commitment, dividing people in the name of religion, region, caste and language but have we ever thought- why they do it, answer is very simple - they do it for us, they do it for vote and who gave them vote simply WE, So if we will correct our self they will get automatically corrected because they will not have any scope for their wrong acts.
If we come to know that politician ABC has ignited riots in our territory then why people vote him/her more in coming election. So, think who is more immoral.
Shouldn't we cast nil vote to him/her this time to give the lesson of moral & values and to make them understand that their evil doings are not acceptable.
We need to remind them their duties which are protection of our rights, facilitate us better opportunities for our social & economical growth, continuous improving our surrounding so that we can live with dignity, peace and prosperity.
In last I would like to say that it is the time to be mature and think about we not me then only true happiness can persist in our lives.

Politics has nowadays become a mere marketing. Politicians do marketing going in different villages, cities etc making fake promises to people to get votes. Once they are elected, than those promises are no longer fulfilled. Politics is now merely a money making business.

Although most of the don't have a proper planning for a good cause and they also have lack of enthusiasm, they have experience of handling the mass of population which youth don't have. So even if youth come in politics they will have to face many unnecessary problems due to lack of experience.
Therefore in my point of view in current scenario country need both the things experience along with planning and enthusiasm. So we would have two leaders for a single post, one experienced and another one should be a youth as a leader.

At present situation politics has become a business. People are not electing the persons who serve and they are electing persons who do scams. Village people are awareness of political leaders they are not choosing the right persons to vote. Some people put a vote for money, some for caste, some for liquor.

I am a student of political science and I am surprised to learn that instead of having so many good laws we have been suffering from such problems like corruption at the top. I have always took the right to vote but not voted for anyone. Similarly, there is a law that if we don't like any of the candidates stood for election, we can take voting option but not vote for any of those candidates, then that list will get cancelled and a new list of candidates will be made.
By doing this we can prevent our nation from getting corrupted leaders. But the problem is "unawareness". Most of the people do not know about such laws (few are even educated). So our first step being the active youth is to aware everyone openly about the laws of our country. By doing this half of the problems will be covered. There are many laws that give us our rights and authorities being the citizens. So, lets first aware people with our laws.
Often I hear young Indians like us " India is so dirty, filthy, and political system is good for nothing, so I will settle in abroad and will never come back" I feel like slapping them but then I realize - Are they wrong! Guys its a petty that young students are saying this about our INDIA. So lets come forward together and seriously do something because its our responsibility to handle our motherland with love, care and pure affection. I don't want my mother India to be left alone one day with only tears and tears. Guys, stop thinking and start doing something. "our actions speak louder than words".

In my honest opinion, I think value based politics is need of hour. Leader should not just use politics as a business to make huge profit by making big scam like 2G, coal gate etc. We people elect them as our representative believing that they will solve our problem like unemployment, power crisis, social inequality, economical inequality etc. So this is their honest responsibility to meet the expectation of common people.
There is lots of power given in the hand of politician by our constitution for making growth of the country but they are misusing this power. For instance our parliament sees frequent disruption in its smooth functioning by our MPS but for every minute our country spend 2.5 lakhs to run our parliament. This is because of irresponsible attitude of our politician.
So as a concluding comment I would like to say that our politician should be loyal enough towards our country and society in terms of discharging their duties in order to ensure rapid and holistic development of the country.

The political parties are brought to power for the proper functioning of the country. But actually what happens is sad. Once they are awarded with the responsibility they keep misusing it in the name of common people. They try to impose their power on people through various vulnerable means to fulfill their own needs. Its really high time to raise our voices and react as a worthy citizen of our country. This is only possible through true association and collaboration.

Friends you have made good points but I would like to add that value in politicians are imperative as we can see they are involved in different scams, sometimes alleged for violation or corruption. People have empowered them, and the onus is on them to make it transparent as far as democracy is concerned people preserve their own rights to criticise government in their own way.
But there is always a conflict of interest. A recent parliament logjam is the evidence of it. It not only proves the lack of values in politicians but also a livid and unacceptable attitude of creating a fuss with some frivolous issues without keeping in mind any sort of constructive thinking. Game of votes will be always there but they should keep it in mind governance is about regulation not about enjoying coveted power. Are you all agree with me?
