I am a student of political science and I am surprised to learn that instead of having so many good laws we have been suffering from such problems like corruption at the top. I have always took the right to vote but not voted for anyone. Similarly, there is a law that if we don't like any of the candidates stood for election, we can take voting option but not vote for any of those candidates, then that list will get cancelled and a new list of candidates will be made.

By doing this we can prevent our nation from getting corrupted leaders. But the problem is "unawareness". Most of the people do not know about such laws (few are even educated). So our first step being d active youth is to aware everyone openly about the laws of our country. By doing this half of the problems will be covered. There are many laws that give us our rights and authorities being the citizens. So, lets first aware people with our laws.

Often I hear young Indians like us " India is so dirty, filthy, and political system is good for nothing, so I will settle in abroad and will never come back" I feel like slapping them but then I realise - are they wrong! Guys its a pitty that young students are saying this about our INDIA. So lets come forward together and seriously do something because its our responsibility to handle our motherland with love, care and pure affection. I don't want my mother India to be left alone one day with only tears and tears. Guys, stop thinking and start doing something. "our actions speak louder than words". (AWARENESS is 1st step).

Today the politics is seeming to be politricks. There is no value based politics existing today. They are not only spoiling the youth but they are exiting the youth because of their false promises and oaths. On the time of the politics they are making fake promises like education of girls are free, and free current etc. But after electing them they are not even doing 1/4th of them. The poor youth believing that they would help them sacrificing all their family and education will do dharnas and strikes on behalf half of them. In this manner not only they suffer but their elders also suffer keeping a lot of expectations for them.

We have to choose the youth as politicians and also who will follow courteous principles as our leaders. Before independence the people were really patriotic and there were good leaders to govern them. When the generation is moving fast the "theory of existence" came into exist. And the morals and values become extinct. The humble and patriotic faces of the politicians turned to cruel and cunning they are more money eager and they alittle patriotic. The politicians are committing forces and schemes instead of saving that money for the benefit of the people. There is a least choice of seeing the politicians who are patriotic and selfless in the future India.

Important reason are thay Today's scenerio of politics the stones like corruption, religious controversy created by politicians can take us in backward. For example 2G scam by A. Raja, CWG scam by a group of people including Suresh kalmadi, Sheela dixit, adarsh society scam etc. Is the truth of our country to which everbody has consensus. But the matter of fact is that noone wants to come forward to make the politics worthwhile because nowadays youngsters do keep them away from any kind of violence. They want peace. So everybody wants the politians uncorrupted but noone wants to be in politics. And if we see in politics, then, the young generation in it is the only those who have received it as their career in hierarchy and they do as they are taught to stay there.

So media should come forward to bring the real picture of politics and politians. Youngsters should be motivated to choose politics as their career. Otherwise, our country, which is seeming to be developing and infact, where exists so many problems to be cured, will not be able to come in list of developed country ever. The leaders leading our nation are absolutely corrupt and an important reason behind this is the lack of respect for values in them.

It is not the question of value based politics, it is the question of value based society. We always curse politicians for doing all wrong i.e. corruption, immorality, fake commitment, dividing people in the name of religion, region, caste and language but have we ever thought- why they do it, answer is very simple - they do it for us, they do it for vote and who gave them vote simply WE, So if we will correct our self they will get automatically corrected because they will not have any scope for their wrong acts.

If we come to know that politician ABC has ignited riots in our territory then why people vote him/her more in coming election. So, think who is more immoral.

Shouldn't we cast nil vote to him/her this time to give the lesson of moral & values and to make them understand that their evil doings are not acceptable.

We need to remind them their duties which are protection of our rights, facilitate us better opportunities for our social & economical growth, continuous improving our surrounding so that we can live with dignity, peace and prosperity.

In last I would like to say that it is the time to be mature and think about we not me then only true happiness can persist in our lives.

I think that in India Some of the politicians are corrupt and they themselves do not follow the rule that is meant to be followed. Sometimes even the public choices do not matter to these politicians. I believe that Politicians should have cared for the country and even for the welfare of the people. Everyone should have that much observation and understanding to select the right instead of any other person. We are given a chance to elect and to do something for the country indirectly and that moment if we do not choose the right one then what's the use.

In my point of view, India is a democratic country and everyone here is equal. Politicians should also have that much right until they have a major power. From the last 70 years of independence, one of the major obstruction in the path of enhancement of India is Corruption. Our Prime Minister has taken a very good decision to change the currency, I totally respect it and agree with it.

India has various resources but until they are used in a proper manner.

In my honest opinion, I think value based politics is need of hour. Leader should not just use politics as a business to make huge profit by making big scam like 2G, coal gate etc. We people elect them as our representative believing that they will solve our problem like unemployment, power crisis, social inequality, economical inequality etc. So this is their honest responsibility to meet the expectation of common people.

There is lots of power given in the hand of politician by our constitution for making growth of the country but they are misusing this power. For instance our parliament sees frequent disruption in its smooth functioning by our MPS but for every minute our country spend 2.5 lakhs to run our parliament. This is because of irresponsible attitude of our politician.

So as a concluding comment I would like to say that our politician should be loyal enough towards our country and society in terms of discharging their duties in order to ensure rapid and holistic development of the country.

Hello friends, I agree with all of you. Awareness is very important for our country development. When country will become a good development. Where the politicians of country are good leaders. I will request every educated people, please vote for right candidates and conduct the some awareness programs in rural areas and teach them what is the use of chose good leaders and what we have the rights for an Indian. Recently in an elections of Delhi, Gujarath, Chadigarh, Rajasthan and MadhyaPradesh, they provided another option for electing good leader i.e, if you don't have interested to vote for both candidates you will press that button. According to me even out of 100% voters chose to reject candidates option 25%. They are not eligible for politicians.

* The most important point is in every state, from Panchayithi level to Niyojaka levels they must display every month development of areas and shows how much income gain and how much money they were spent. Thanks for all.

This 21st century we are living in needs a politician who are young energetic and full of zeal proving their way out none like those lathargic oldies who have been glued to their seats and doing nothing but yawning when an issue rises. How absurd are they to their work and lifestyle. ? our great freedom fighters PT. JAWARHARLAL NEHRU MAHATMA GANDHI saw many visions of India. Why can't we be up to the mark? they left this great country in our hands and died peacefully with a belief and hope that we the people would raise it to the top. ! did anyone f us contribute in doing this? we ourselves have left our country on those people who dnt care about the mass but their hourly income! wake up people its high time the buzzing corruption troubling us and harming are country in many wayss. ! I love India I love my people I love the mud I love d rain I love d culture but politics in india? I don't find any reason to love. !

The above discussion was fine I agree with most of the opinions and would like to add one more point regarding elections. India is a parliamentary democracy not presidential we vote for MPs and MLAs not for a chief minister or prime minister so at the time of voting we should opt a good MP or MLA. We should never vote for any candidate just because he or she belongs to our community or cast. We should go through his or her moral values and background. We should keep in mind that prime minister will not come to you to solve your problems. Your MP will solve the problems of your constituency so vote for him if he is good.

And one more most vital point I would like to add for our constitution "Democracy without education is hypocrisy without limitation". We should decide minimum educational qualification for each post that will help a lot in introducing value-based politics in our system.
