The Most common forms of tobacco that are taken in India are Khaini, Zarda, etc. That a common man and even the underprivileged can buy. Or only these sorts of people has it generally.
These things cause harm not only to the one who primarily consumes them but also to those who are in the surroundings. As well as slows down the thought process and tries to let these poor daily wage labourers be in the way they are no progressiveness.
And also causes solid waste problems and air pollution and negativity in the ecosystem.
So if Indian govt requires taxes for the social welfare of its citizens ultimates, so it will be social welfare itself if it bans all forms of tobacco.

Hello everyone.

As you said, if we ban tobacco, the victim may alter to another substance like that. Yeah, that's true, it depends on the individual. Why can't he/she be in good substance? Not everyone will addicted to another bad substance in my view. So harmful Tobacco must be banned to avoid severe health hazards and addiction and also sir mentioned that we can create awareness to control. Already in alcohol and cigar packs, the company mentioned the harmful effects with disgusting images. After seeing those warnings, many of them still consume those things. So there is no point in creating awareness of those things. Obviously, Tobacco must be banned.

Good evening everyone,
In my point of view, tobacco is bad for our health also there are many negative impacts. But suddenly we can't ban tobacco because the sudden ban of tobacco may highly impact the mental state of the consumer who consumes it. Due to it being an addiction, it had a high impact on the consumers. They may take illegal action to get tobacco.
Also, this industry highly contributes to our economy. We can do some that like increasing the price of tobacco periodically. Also, I agree with the harsh point that in India 29 percent of adults consume tobacco. Therefore for government has to action on restrictions on age limits like a minimum of 22 ages.

In my opinion, tobacco should not be banned because once tobacco banned the chain smokers will search for other alternatives like cocaine, hashish which will rather result in serious health and social problems.
Also, there are many people whose survival depends on the earnings from selling tobacco. On banning the tobacco their daily life will be difficult.
And above all these tobacco bans will decrease the tax amount that we get from selling tobacco which eventually results in decreasing the GDP of the country.
So, I believe that apart from the idea to ban tobacco the idea to reduce it's production and thereby reducing its consumption will be fruitful.

Hello everyone.
Today's topic is tobacco must be banned.
In my point of view, we should banned everything which causes harm to living animals, tabacco is one of them, tobacco spoil anyone's life within a sec, because consuming tobacco for long time can causes cancer, and cancer is a disease which can't be treated. We still can't found a proper solution to prevent cancer. So the people who addicted towards tobacco will never stop buying it of it is available in everyshop, so for that this is hightime for govt to stop selling tobacco, it will decrease the number of patients affected by cancer. And it will help everyone to live a beautiful helathy life.

There is no brainer in saying that tobacco should be banned.
Firstly, it is harmful to the person who consumes it.
Secondly, the labour included in making this tobacco consists of most women and children workers supporting child labour along with low compensation. It is the most common cause of cancer in people.
It is not ruining just the present generation but also the upcoming generation which is the driver of the success of the country. They are mostly influenced by celebrities who irrationally promote these kinds of products through advertisements. It is sad to see that there is no regulation to advertise harmful products like tobacco in India.

Hello everyone, myself Sainath Shet.
Discussing the banning of tobacco from India :
Yes tobacco should be banner but tobacco eating people are increasing now a days that's why government should take initiative to ban tobacco in india, Currently I saw that small children a started eating tobacco in village as well as in cities.
Wasting almost 1000 rupees in chewing tobacco gives them satisfaction in chewing and spitting, instead of saving that money for children's education which helps for their future as well as they won't learn from their parents of eating tobacco.
Now women's also in villages eat such things.
So, tobacco should be banned.

I don't think there is a need to ban tobacco, it is definitely bad for health and it also creates revenue for the country but in the end, it is just a product which is not healthy for us, just like many others. There is an argument to be made that butter is equally bad for health, but we cannot ban butter, can we? It is just a product that people consume. Even if it's not good for health people have the right to choose what they put in their body as long as they are well informed about the consequences of their actions. I'll conclude by saying that there is no need to change how tobacco is sold, other than enforcing the legal age of consumption.

Good Morning/Afternoon everyone.
This is Harika.
As we all know tobacco is the major cause of health problems like throat cancer, asthma, lung diseases, stroke etc. India is the 2nd largest producer and consumer of tobacco.
The immediate banning of tobacco leads to various problems like smuggling so we have to provide awareness programmes around educational institutions like schools and colleges. So, that it will not affect the younger generation.
We have to aware the tobacco consuming people about the side effects of tobacco through the National Tobacco Control Programme and reduce the production and supply of tobacco products.
Thank You.

Yes, definately tobacco must be banned. Tobbaco is a silent killer of our body. Feed on things which feed on you. Tobacco destroys our kidney, lungs and overall our internal organs. Anykind of addiction is not good for our mental as well as physical health. To get rid of tobacco consumption the best initiative to be to ban tobacco selling as well as consumption. This would create a lot of unemployement because there is lot of businesses running behind to manufacture tobacco and selling it in market. They really have large number of audience buying these products also. But to make a better society and better nation this could be initiated.
