Tobacco is highly addictive and like other addictive things it develops a consuming habit in people gradually and a habit can never be changed by banning something. But, on the other hand, tobacco is highly harmful to people. So to restrict tobacco consumption government must take action but that's not through banning, because it will force people to collect tobacco illegally. Also, tobacco contributes a lot to the Indian GDP. So the government shouldn't ban it directly rather, the government can arrange awareness campaigns, increase the price, and age limits, and in the end government can make the people realize how harmful it is for them and also can think about some healthy replacements.

In my opinion tobacco should be ban in India. It affects a lot of people's lives and the public. As we already know, tobacco is not only affects the person but also affects the people around that person. It's like spreading poison to others.

The government should take severe action against that product. These products are easily get from the local store.

We need to ban the products from the local stored. So that people can't buy those products.

However, addiction is one of the most dangerous habits in human life.

Even after banning those products, the affected people would search for other stuff so the government should initiate rehabilitation for those people to recover from that life.

In my opinion, baning is not a solution to this or any other problem, because if you ban a product it would lead to illegal marketing of that product. For eg. In Gujrat liquor is ban still a huge number of people consume it illegally. A good solution to this problem is to create awareness and to find alternative solutions to this problem. Like nicotine could help effectively. Banning would also lead to an increase in the price of tobacco products, eventually if one wants to have it he will get it in high rates. Thousands of tribal people are in tobacco business and farming; they would be lost their jobs. Excess to anything is injuries. So rather than banning, better planning is needed.

In my opinion the tobacco must be banned. I support my statement with a number of valid reasons.

First of all, it causes different types of cancer mouth cancer and also it damages internal body parts.

Tobacco makes the people addicted to it and gives temporary good feeling by causing permanent damage in our body.
I don't see any uses of it. The tobacco not only causes the person to get suffer from cancer and also the spitting of tobacco in open areas may leads to spreading different diseases. There are many dangerous diseases that can be spread to air and the saliva. It also makes the surroundings unhealthy. My conclusion is that the tobacco should be banned for many good reasons.

Good morning friends.

Thank you for giving me an opportunity to discuss tobacco must be banned or not.

In my point of view, tobacco must be banned by our government for people, not for whom who stand at ice land like our Indian army who take alcohol for do their duty properly and we all are known that how much dangerous for our youth and family also and we also have known that youth and teenager also addicted from it and it is a bad addiction that ruined our family, waste money, keep our fitness and mind unhealthy and it causes many bad things for civilians particularly middle-class family so my opinion is tobacco must be banned but not for our ice-land army. Jai Hind.

Thank you.

According to me, tobacco should be banned if the Government Could fight with it's consequences. E.G. After banning tobacco many people will lose their jobs, the government will not get revenue from it and people who are addicted to tobacco, their mental health will get worse and then they will take tobacco illegally. So it will increase job crisis and bad activities.

So if the Government Has some alternatives plan for employment and Government Can aware of people about health issues by tobacco and makes rehab centres for a large no. Of people then government Should ban the tobacco.

But if there is no pre-planning for it then government Shouldn't be banned the tobacco.

Thank you.

Here's my thought

Tobacco contains some dangerous gases like carbon monoxide and hydrogencianade. These two gases are harmful to the one who smokes it tobacco and to the surroundings who are all near them.

Tobacco causes serious lung damage by filling the dangerous gases previously mentioned, so it leads them and the surroundings to suffer from asthma which is also a dangerous disease by suffering people through cough.

The cough infected through asthma leads to severe death and reaches from 250000 to 461000 annually estimation to the World Health Organization.

So, My personal opinion is tobacco will make you a scenario hero but it kills you inch by inch.

Beware of it

The Most common forms of tobacco that are taken in India are Khaini, Zarda, etc. That a common man and even the underprivileged can buy. Or only these sorts of people has it generally.

These things cause harm not only to the one who primarily consumes them but also to those who are in the surroundings. As well as slows down the thought process and tries to let these poor daily wage labourers be in the way they are no progressiveness.

And also causes solid waste problems and air pollution and negativity in the ecosystem.

So if Indian govt requires taxes for the social welfare of its citizens ultimates, so it will be social welfare itself if it bans all forms of tobacco.

Hello everyone.

@Sourav
As you said, if we ban tobacco, the victim may alter to another substance like that. Yeah, that's true, it depends on the individual. Why can't he/she be in good substance? Not everyone will addicted to another bad substance in my view. So harmful Tobacco must be banned to avoid severe health hazards and addiction and also sir mentioned that we can create awareness to control. Already in alcohol and cigar packs, the company mentioned the harmful effects with disgusting images. After seeing those warnings, many of them still consume those things. So there is no point in creating awareness of those things. Obviously, Tobacco must be banned.
