Good morning/afternoon everyone.

My Name is Niraj.

Yes, a ban in tobacco is necessary as it causes lung cancer, and other breathing and mental disorders, causes pollution, and millions of trees are cut to make cigarettes.

In my opinion immediate ban on tobacco will lead to certain other Problems as people will try to get tobacco in illegal ways like smuggling etc. And there is no guarantee that people will stop consuming it.

So instead we should use certain different approaches for example British government imposed a law banning tobacco for those under a certain age and increasing the age limit every year so that eventually younger generation will stop consuming it, educating people about it or reducing the production of tobacco etc.

Yes, tobacco is banned because the people who consume tobacco suffer from cancer and lung diseases.

Hello everyone.

In my point of view tobacco must be banned because it causes a various various diseases like skin diseases, heart diseases and cancer chewing of tobacco is the primary reason of Mouth cancer it does not only affect the person who is using using it but also affect the person leaving around them it’s like a spreading of poison around others.

Nowadays, the tobacco supplying brands and companies make advertisement of their products from the celebrities so the government should make strict rules and laws for supply of the tobacco products.

The government must take an initiative for promoting healthy lifestyle instead of supplying dangerous products like tobacco nowadays the young children are also addicted to the tobacco it ruined their career and lifestyle.

In my opinion, tobacco must be banned it is very dangerous addiction banning of tobacco is necessary for the healthier society.

Tobacco should be banned because it causes serious harm to both individuals and society. It’s one of the leading causes of life-threatening diseases like cancer and heart problems, and it affects not just smokers but also people exposed to secondhand smoke. Many youngsters fall into this habit early, not realising the long-term damage.

Banning tobacco would help protect public health, reduce healthcare costs, and create a cleaner, healthier environment. While some may talk about personal choice and economic impact, no personal freedom should come at the cost of others’ lives. A ban would send a strong message that health and well-being come first.

Hello all,

In India, around 100 million people currently use tobacco, and approximately 45.7 million employees are involved in tobacco manufacturing and allied activities, including nearly 20 million farmers. This clearly indicates that tobacco use and production operate on a very large scale.

Due to this significant dependence, a sudden ban on tobacco may not be practical. Abrupt prohibition could have serious consequences for habitual users, including severe withdrawal effects and behavioural issues. Moreover, an immediate ban would negatively impact farmers and workers whose livelihoods depend on tobacco cultivation and manufacturing.

Therefore, instead of an instant ban, a gradual and phased reduction is a more effective approach. The first step should be to create strong awareness programs, especially targeting young people, to prevent new users from adopting tobacco habits. At the same time, the government should take responsibility for providing alternative employment opportunities and support systems for farmers and workers who rely on the tobacco industry.

By implementing these measures in parallel, India can realistically move toward the goal of a tobacco-free nation. This approach has already shown positive results. For example, in 2015, around 130 million people in India used tobacco, whereas the number has now reduced to approximately 100 million. This decline proves that, with sustained cooperation between the government and the public, India can eventually become a tobacco-free country.

Thank you.

Yes, it should be banned because it causes the normal man to suffer a lot as they don't know how it affects their lives and government is not banning it because by these products they get a lot of revenue.

Hello Everyone.

In my opinion, tobacco should be banned. Tobacco is highly addictive and causes serious harm to human lives. Tobacco is the main cause of many deadly diseases Tobacco being very cheap is consumed by many people especially the poor one's. Now a days not only adults but also teenagers have started consuming tobacco. Also gov is not banning it as it can cost high loss to them in terms of revenues. So its high time, we should initiate campus drives, making people aware of.

Consequences of consuming tobacco and spreading this awareness to high extend.
