Good morning friends,
I'm here to discuss the about topic on "Rush for MBA is really a Rush for Big Money". I hope it is not so acccording to my cosideration. I have said so that many people opt for MBA not only for money but management is very useful in our daily activities in order to lead a better life by managing the activities to be performed effectively. Many of the students who opt for MBA are mainly from BE/B. Tech degree they opt because they have enough talent in their core subjects but without having any managing skills they cannot deal with anything so many of them rush for MBA to improve their skills. But I don't support totally on this side because they are the people who rush for MBA as it is one of the best path to lead successful life by doing their own business and can earn a lot on it. So my opinion is that reason for rushing for MBA is not only for earning money.
Thank you.

If we see some years ago, larger population of our country was uneducated. And that time for becoming rich they was indulge in unethical and illegal activities. But today our large population are become educated with many professional courses. And working hard for earning a good money. If they want to rich then there is no problem because every one has rights and freedom to become rich. They are also contributing in economic and growth of our country and due to the these peoples our country are now becomes a big economic country.
But on the other side we see there are also some people like our leaders in parliament they are also becoming rich but they are doing these illegally and unethically. They are the main reason because of that our country is lacking with other countries in compitions. Even the MBA's are becoming rich after there effort and hard work and not doing anything wrong.

According to me the rush for MBA is not really a rush for money at least for some people. Money of course plays an important role in increasing our standard of living. But money alone cannot provide all satisfaction in a profession. And I don't consider a MBA certificate as the only means of getting a high salary. Then why do many people go for courses like medicine, piloting etc. Each individual has a set of interests, skills and special areas or settings in which he can explore himself. It may be a clinic, ship, an organization etc. And the real success lies in discovering this. If a group of people is only targeting money in their profession. Then its for sure that he'll be highly unstable in his setting.
If we are truly interested and do work hard in any profession. For sure money will obviously follow. So money is not something preliminary.

I think money can be one of the motivating for doing an MBA but it is certainly not the only one and in case if it is, then that person cannot be a successful person in a true sense.
An mba is much more than money but only if you are passionate about it and you are not going it just for the lure of big money. This passiona and clarity of thought is so important that in each of the b schools' interview, each candidate is asked why does he/she wants to do mba. And if they find that the candidate is not clear about this, then obviously they won't select him.
Mba makes equips you with the right skills which will help you in your career of management. You need to put your consistent efforts in order to become a sucessful manager and that can only come if you that vision and not just the greed for money.

Folks MBA is business education and its essential to today's jobs as it helps you for your job. If you are planning to do your own business its not essential to have MBA, you can hire someone to manage your business and you should be fine. But if someone has MBA and managing his own business it may help him or her.
If you are looking at big business names they learned some sort of business management from someone in family. Continuous education in life will make you better person if you apply that education to your self development.
I wish everyone good luck as I have done my MBA and Masters in Computer Science here in USA and doing great in job because of my good education and hard work and not comparing myself to others. Everyone is different and please don't try to compare yourself to others.

Hi friends,
I am not in support of the topic.
1. First reason is that I myself is planning to do it, and that not for money but to complete myself as I don't really want to feel first the frustration by doing any job and than then apply for it.
2. As MBA is the key to success, so people do it to learn that key so that they will not face any failure in their life by taking wrong decisions.
3. We all know that India is a big country and more than that we have a big number of unemployment rate. So my question is why add one more in that number, be the one who can create jobs and do something good for our country rather than just sitting idle at home and blame the system and government for it.
AND WE ALL KNOW FOR A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS, WE SHOULD LEARN THE MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES.

I Would like to say that Rush for MBA is because of so many different reasons.
1. MBA is a course that any graduate student can opt for.
2. After MBA definitely Money that is being offered during placement are at par to any other master degree.
No question here is whether rush is for money or learning that these schools provide.
I think mainly Money is the only factor that forces graduates to opt for MBA. As, Prices of each and every commodity is increasing at rapid pace to meet both ends meet it is a necessity to earn a handsome income, Increasing prices of Education of children also demand a heavy pocket, Technology advancement is also the reason. As with growing Technology we need to follow the technology and for that you require money.

The real purpose of MBA is to instill or to develop the leadership qualities that a professional possess and to impart business intelligence. It is mainly suited for people who already has an experience in the field and it is true that freshers also get admitted to the course. There are mainly three types of people who pursue an MBA.
1. Those who are interested in entrepreneurship, growing their business or passionate about management.
2. Those who don't have an idea about to what to pursue after their graduation.
3. Those are interested in making money fast.
So rush for big money is also a reason for people pursuing MBA.
But what really matters is your inner calling and only that path will make you content and happy not just money.

Rush for MBA is not a rush for big money, because there are so many other professions available in which a person grab a good salary. It totally depends on the likings of an individual. People attracted towards MBA, just because of the limelight of the business people, but they don't know that many of them are not MBA's, like Dhirubhai Ambani, Bill Gates etc. But they have created a milestone in the business world with there new idea, clear vision, hard work & without a MBA Degree. It just happens with the changing scenario of thinking. Earlier people prefer a field like doctor or engineer, because these fields marks a good impression on one's image, but now these fields are replaced by MBA or CA, CS.

Everyone can do MBA. Not all graduation degrees help people in getting job. Some needs MBA as they are having right skills along grooming capabilities in and out of organisation. A management caters the need of engineering people. Or else to implement things with better knowledge could be engineer. An engineer can become manager. A manager can't be engineer to get high designation in company's will prefer B-Tech+ MBA.
Of course they may get good packages too with little passionate of culture MBA. And some for learning for how to make profitable organisation. This could be bit possible to make things done easy. With this combination B.Tech+MBA. Or some wants MBA to improve the job opportunities. friends.
