The Rush for MBA is really a Rush for Big Money. Is really true. But every MBA degree holder doesn't gets a guarantee to have hike in their salaries. And every MBA degree holder doesn't proves to be the best manager with a degree. Management skills are ones ability to manage.
These skills doesn't comes with a degree. But one can improve these through a degree. Only. For 10% of the MBA'S this quotation proves true. As one with only a MBA degree is not hired. They are judged with their management skills only. And only for them this quotation proves true.

Ya I think that the rush for MBA is rush for big money because if you have completed your degree with any of the colleges which is not so good and if you will do MBA afterwards then surely you can expect a good salary in any multinational company. So I can say that the rush for MBA is rush for money only now a days.

I completely agree with Neetu that pursuing MBA doesn't make a person the best, there must be some managerial skills too. There are lot of burning examples of greatest entrepreneur they build up their own industry without having the MBA degree. But for a few decades it has been a trend to do MBA whether they are capable of managing themselves or not. But not for all some are really talented and they have the skills to manage others so it is partially correct that rush for MBA is a rush for money.

If a person who is opting for MBA than his intelligence and thinking capability should be entirely different from a normal person. It is also true that intelligence is not in birth, it is got by visualization and action. And if a person is intelligent than he will surely get a good MBA college only to get good position in an organisation and the money will automatically come to him. So rush for MBA is not a rush for money.

I agree with Priyanka its really true rush in MBA is a rush of big money. Itz also true that now a days one who achieves maximum degree in different fields are more preferable in better companies. If one is achieving his wants by rushing big money then in my opinion there is nothing worse over here.

What I have seen that people who have skills in any industry can earn more than an MBA degree holder, Holding a degree does not guarantee that we will be offered higher package. It totally depends on the skill set and ability.

Yes, Now a days most of the students do MBA just for earning fast money, keeping all their interests aside. To be creative and innovative it doesn't need a MBA degree, its just your own ability to think outside the box. But in order to learn corporate management you must be trained for that which comes from MBA and getting a MBA degree will really act as an add-on for any individual.

I think this is not true. The reason behind it is- there are a lot of sectors where one can make the money for examples-scientist,engineer,doctors etc. There are 'n' no. of people who think having a degree of MBA means lots of money but they are forgetting one major truth delivering the successful work brings praise and then you got the money. Even the today's employed MBA graduates know whether their degree is worthy or not?

when a student join a B-school what is in his mind?
He dreams of getting job after he completes his degree(definitely there are exception), he either tries to be a part of any organisation or he becomes entrepreneur.the basic thing behind both of these is to earn money.
there are other courses as well which help in earning money but it is MBA which helps in earning money faster, there fore there is large number of aspirants of MBA and this is the reason for the large number of B schools opening these days.
