Today's life has changed but India's education system has not changed.
As per my opinion, The British system of education has been running from the 18th century in which Lord Macaulay had a plan to rule over India so he ended the ongoing education system that created the sense of love, harmony, fraternity and patriotism in the mind of every citizen so Lord started a new education system and introduced new education that proved against Indian ancient education. This Lord education system was only to produce clerk for the services of Britishers who ruled over the country.
Even today, after 70 years of independence, the education system has not changed much. Though the government machinery of India is aware of this education system it does not want to improve itself and the children in schools are being taught about the same two hundred years of old education. Although today's life has changed India's education system has not changed so far, due to which India still remains an underdeveloped country.
In the current education system, 8-10 years old children are being taught many subjects like social, history, English, accounting, Hindi, regional language, geography, drawing, science etc from the first class to the fifth grade.
It is interesting that this system, of putting the knowledge of all subjects in the minds of the students in the fifth class, has closed them in their houses to cram books in a way that no one can complete his schooling work from 6am to 7pm. The children have to attend tuitions as soon as they come back from school to complete syllabus.
That is why; many students are wearing glasses because cramming books and pressure to get highest marks is making their eyesight weak. The parental and peer pressure to excel in academics, to become future doctors and engineers, leaves little scope for the overall development of children and has obscured their thinking power.
The lack of vocational training and practical knowledge make it difficult for toppers to adjust in society when they pass out. On the contrary, the average students have an edge over them in real life.
The little children are unnecessarily burdened with so many subjects which leaves little time for them to play and contribute to society till the age of 17. But As soon as the students pass school and join college the number of subjects decrease.
In the present era, the children have access to the Internet. They can immediately Google whatever questions or answers they have to find. Therefore, the infiltration of different subjects in the minds of school children has to stop.
The students should be taught to love the nation, play sports, live harmoniously in society, respect elders and stop bribery by dishonest officers in the government department and how to catch them. They should also be taught to raise voice against adulteration of food items, greedy doctors indulging in unethical practices and the police not doing its duty properly.
The students should be brought as responsible citizens who assist tax authorities about the income of their neighbour earned through wrongful means. They should be educated to bring to the notice of administration the potholes are on the broken public roads and about legal remedies available to claim their rights.
The students should be given moral education to check rising incidents of crime in the society. The quality and standard of education should be raised so that the children need not go abroad to study. Besides, the children should be taught the true meaning of religion and cautioned against blindly the following self-proclaimed God mans.
By following the above approach we can bring peace and prosperity in our country and create a sense of love and harmony with each other.
Lord Macaulay introduced the education system that is still followed in our country is not for the benefit of a native citizen. It was implemented to eliminate the overall growth of students. Therefore, unless we provide basic education to our children as per the present education system till 12th class, there will be no awareness in our nation. It is possible only when we finish the Macaulay education system in India.

Hello everyone,
According to me, the current education system must be changed. Education is a place where we can broaden our knowledge and showcase our creativity but now the definition of education is completely different. None of the students are studying happily, they all are feeling it as a burden and becoming stressed day by day due to the amount of work given by their teachers. Here the workload has increased and the ability to show their innovation has decreased. Students are being given projects but they are not doing it in a correct way i.e. not using their creativity. They are just copying the information from the resources and not gaining any knowledge from it. This is not the purpose of giving projects to the students and ultimately the person to be blamed is teacher for not guiding them in a correct way. Also, some of the teachers give a lot of homework to their students which I think is unnecessary and not so useful. I absolutely agree that they must practice the lessons taught but that should be limited. Apart from education, students should get exposed to other activities as well and that is really important. Due to a lot of work, students are not taking care of their health and some of them are getting affected by it. I feel that proper sleep and food is mandatory to everyone. Without these two, your brain will not function properly. This ultimately affects students academic performance. Another point I would like to add is the school/college hours which are highly tedious and the students will surely get tired. Even though the students return home, there's no rest for them as some of them go to tuition. Here comes another point that is competition which most of our parents are bothered about. I would recommend all the parents to stop worrying about the increasing competition of education in our country. Just because your friend's son is going for coaching classes that doesn't mean even your son must go. Your child will make it big in whichever field they choose. Show some concern towards your child's health and their interests. They are not robots to do a lot of stuff at once. The present education system is only bothered about grades and not how well the students are able to understand the concepts. In many of the schools, there are no extra curricular activities and such schools only focus on studying. I feel that this is not going to help the students to a great extent. When there are activities apart from education, student will show some interest, participate actively and will enjoy studying unlike feeling it as a burden. The school hours should be reduced so that children can relax for some time. The educational institutes should stop focusing on grading system instead they should focus on how to bring out the creativity from their students. I would like to conclude that by considering students interests and concerning about them, we should introduce a new education system which will help them to a great extent.

Hey guys,
I strongly feel that the current education system cannot contribute to a better future of our country. This is because:
1. The current education system in India was designed during the 1800's when the industrial revolution was at full swing. At that time, all they wanted were workers who should not be creative, but follow exactly as told. This same system cannot be applicable to the current times as the progress rate nowadays is exponentially very large compared to the last centuries. At these times, we need people who are creative enough to solve real-life problems with multiple solutions and not a class of people who follow orders.
2. The current curriculum makes students feel that Education has only a limited range (STEM subjects+history and geography) , whereas in reality, there are a lot of fields that a person can learn and get the knowledge from. (art, entrepreneurship, youtubers, trainers, etc).
3. The school places a lot of burden on students to memorise a lot of unnecessary facts, but what school's.
Should be doing, is to give less facts but provide a deep understanding on the particular topic and help the students to connect different subjects. Also, they must be given time to play as it is proven that children who play a lot have better understanding capabilities.
4. In today's world, teaching is considered as one of the most poorly paid jobs and hence it becomes the least preference. This causes the teachers to be non-enthusiastic about teaching students.
5. As the student's class increases, their creative activities, such as arts, music, dancing, etc. Are cut down due to the burden of the curriculum whereas in the coming years we would need people who are strong, not only in understanding the information but also those who can use this information in a creative way to solve real-life problems.
6. My last point is about the examination system. The current examination system only supports memorisation but not understanding. The theory of multiple intelligences states that there are different kinds of intelligences, beyond linguistic and logical reasoning. The students who possess such intelligence are treated as dumb whereas those who have memorising capabilities are treated as smart people. People prefer marks over understanding.
Thank You.

Good morning everyone!
As We all are here to discuss the topic should we change the present system of education? Currently, our present education system is totally based on theoretical knowledge, students should focus on cramming the things rather than understanding, their main focus is to gain good marks, not obtain practical knowledge.
Even parents also force their children to score good marks, if a student score good in academics their parents and even society believe that their children is brilliant but they all don't know the fact behind this.
It is true only one month is required to score good marks but in one month they do only cramming because in many schools and colleges teachers also do only theoretical knowledge which do not cover or understand the things very carefully. So students have only a one choice for cramming rather than understand the things to explore their knowledge. Even in colleges, no such practicals can be done, most of the instrument not work, and even teachers also do time pass. But they spoil the future of students and development of the country.
Due to all this circumstances students who completed their graduation not having proper jobs, they are unemployment, even they don't know the very basic of computers which a 6 or 7th standard students know.
So, my dear friends, I would like to say that our present system should be changed and follow these guidelines if they really build our India economy strong and make proud of the future generation.
1. Provide more practical knowledge in subjects, so that their concept regarding the subject or particular topics must be clear.
2. Increase marks of practical so that students can understand the things very carefully, and even give back/REE in practicals so that students can understand that practicals is also very important so that from next time they should focus on these practicals.
3. The syllabus is also changed time by time because technology has improved day by day and daily new inventions have been made.
4. From time to time seminars, awareness programmes have created so that students can be aware of technology and explore their knowledge.
Thank you guys.
Have a good day!

Hello, friends.
According to my point of view, we should change our present education system because.
1- Present education system based on maximum of theory and very less about practical.
2- Most of teachers in schools and colleges not teaching well they are only there for spending time and earn money.
3- Condition of government Schools are very poor in India because in govt. Schools no teacher is interested in teaching the students because they earn money from the govt. And students also not coming school regularly.
4- There are no. Of private schools in India where teachers are giving good knowledge to the students because of their salary destruction but the fee of those school are very high so a normal middle-class family person not able to studied their children in those schools.
5- There are number of students from the rural areas is not getting education because condition of government schools in rural areas are very poor teachers are not coming to school on time and they don't have good knowledge about subjects and also parents are not able to put their children in private schools because of high fee.
6- In our education system the graduation from any field is totally based on English except some fields so after 12th number of students who are completing their 10th and 12th from state board they are facing problem in completing their graduation or any bachelor degree.
7- And Indian present time education system is maximum is getting marks and proceed to next class from class nursery to graduation. Because of that, no student get knowledge to crack competition exams for the job and they don't know the practical application of their theories studied in class in daily life.
Because of these reasons, there are no of unemployed people in India they don't know where do they go and what type of job they are able for.
So for the better education system and remove of unemployment, we should improve our education system and it will be based on theory as well as practical application as well as interest of the student not force them to do that whatever they don't want to do.

Yes, I think the present system of education should be changed because today's education system makes students bookworm they just engulf the things and vomit in the exam for just to get good marks. They don"t even know the how to implement their theoretical knowledge practically. In India, unemployment is a big issue just because of our education system. 80% of students in India are weakest in practical knowledge. Government should change our education system. Smart classes are not enough for excellent education but government should change our quantity education in quality education. There should be a management and technical seminar in every school and colleges by a successful business man and technical specialist respectively so that student can have better understanding of the present scenario of market as well as they get more clear in their career aspects in which field or job they want to go. There should more emphasis on practical knowledge in schools also because school is a base of an education so practical knowledge should be given to students from school time as well so that students will have better practical knowledge when they enter in college life and they will enhance their practical knowledge more in their graduation part which they read in school time and I think this is the best way to get rid of unemployment and also increase the entrepreship.
Apart from academics if we want to make our education system better there should be a platform for every student to show their best in field of their interest. Education system should increase the moral values in people because Indian citizen have lack of moral values and self-confidence so our education should also moral oriented. These are some steps with whom we can change our education system makes our education system moral and job oriented.

So Why do we need to change our system literally from the starting what does our education has taught us that could be really helpful in our life all time we always run for marks not having the knowledge of the subject what is actually for how to apply into your life. The whole country's schools, Colleges and Universities are playing with the future of the country they follow the same pattern from nursery to graduation just learn and write they teach you things too many years that doesn't even matter in your career I don't know why people don't raise their voice against it. Let's talk about myself I am recently graduated in BCA a three-year bachelors degree named as bachelor's of computer Application in which we have six semesters in every semester they taught us math, one programming language and some commerce subject like accounting, business economics etc but in my whole graduation they didn't teach me how to get a job they just taught us some basic theoretical stuff at the end of my graduation when the company came up for interview they need 4-5 skills with good practical knowledge and very good communication skill how I have told them that they teach us in the name programming is how to write a program to print Hello world or check the Armstrong number I don't know what I have to do my degree I have too many things to write but it will make my statement too long so people won't read it. In the end, I have to say just one thing don't run for a degree just go for skills whatever you want to be the whole education is business and they all are scammers don't get trapped.

Yes, definitely. Indian educational system is only about theories. There is very little focus on acquiring practical knowledge. For eg. There was one student who knew everything about a particular machine, each and every part, how it worked and all but when he was asked to operate that machine he was unable to do it. So what it is showing. It's clearly stating that had that student actually worked on that machine inspite of mugging everything about it there were chances that he would had been able to operate it.
Some colleges have started courses which are practical based which is actually an appreciating step. What I would like to suggest is that from school only children should be allowed to take only those subjects or only that field in which they actually have interest. There should be manadatory counselling for each student and in that way, one can get to know actual interest of student. There are chances that a student doesnot want to build his or her carrier on education he is rather more interested in any particular field say sports or dancing or comedy then he or she should be allowed to pursue that inspite of forcing them to complete their studies.
For those students who are completing their higher education there should be more practical based classes than theory based classes. Teachers should try to be more lenient and let the students say what they actually wanted to study and before launching any educational reform from government all students should be consulted and their feedback must be kept in mind.

Education is the jewel which makes the individual shine out in the crowd.
Yes, I do agree education system should be modified.
I think if any school it may private or government owned the teachers must have influencing personality.
Which would make even the least interested student in studies to take interest in studies.
The teachers must take care of every child, the number of students in each class should be less similar to the rules in schools of England and various other countries.
The syllabus must consist of ethics, integrity, real life stories which would really motivate child to lead a positive life.
The syllabus must consist of growing problems and their innovative solutions such as environment, health issues, suicides, terrorism and how these children can lend their pure soul for the very purpose.
"If you want to see real change then start educating children," said Gandhiji.
The school schedule must include extracurricular activity which actually makes the child understand his or her hidden potential which will make one understand the interest.
Parents should encourage the child in its interest should not demotivate the child by comparing with neighbours child.
The big change cannot be accomplished only by the government in power it may be Congress, BJP or other parties, it would be combined efforts of government and society. Each individual has to become good to make such change.
Stop corruption, Have faith in the judiciary, live a harmonious life.
Thank you.

Hello friends, according to me, present Indian education system should be changed not only for making the students literate but also to develop India. Education is the thing which is very important for each and every citizen of the country. But now a days, people are making this education as a business. Especially the private schools in our country are commercially running the schools only for the purpose of money and their sake. And moreover the parents are also getting ready to join their children in a well famed school. They are not thinking about the interest of their particular children, simply they want to join their children in a rich school. For example, consider Bhasyam school, this kind of schools only want their students to get more marks they are treating the students as a machine. The main achievement of these kind of schools is to get marks and percentage. They don't want knowledge. The only thing they want is "good fame". So as to get a good fame, they not even permit their students to play at least an hour. If a student is forced to study by simply byhearting process, then how can he get a knowledge over the subject. This is not d correct method. The students should be given a drill hour, drawing hour and other curricular activities for at least twice or thrice of a week. Then he or she can be able to concentrate on studies without any stress. So in my changing the education system is a good idea.
