Should voters be given a NOTA (None Of The Above) choice?

Hey I am Alok Mishra for NOTA MY OPINION IS THAT IT IS NECESSARY TO ALL VOTERS. IT IS THE best way to using their rights.

Even NOTA option would not impact the results of the elections. The NOTA options on EVMs has no electoral value. If the maximum number of votes cast is for NOTA, the candidate getting the most of the remaining votes would be declared a winner. Still, NOTA is a good choice because negative votes show that no one candidate is good or clean. All candidates are involved in corruption. Due to negative votes political party force to opt clean candidates for election.

Yes, I think it gives to people. Because when leaders are not good then people have to choose to give the vote in NOTA. It also uses full for knowing the image of leaders.

It costs money and time both, but will give right leader, they will bring good change and development in future.

In my point of view, NOTA option is very good because if we get 35% of NOTA votes then both the candidates are not eligible for the election and candidates must be changed.

I am Narinder, in my point of view, there should be a NOTA option in EVM because sometimes if the people think no candidate is right for our nation they can press the NOTA option and it is seen that some people don't vote just because they don't find a candidate they required. If there if more than 75%of votes are given to NOTA there will be re-election and other Candidates get a chance.

As every coin has two sides it has also some demerits.

- People will press the NOTA option just because of some silly reason.

- govt should ensure the background of each candidate is properly before being chosen for election.

Then there will be no need to add NOTA.

- some people would press NOTA to give chance to the candidate of their party who is not selected.

At last, I want to say this is a very good initiative of adding the NOTA option because it has more merits than demerits.

The idea of having a NOTA option is a very interesting one.

It will not only relieve us from selecting candidates whom we don't want but also give the Government an outlook of what the citizens are expecting is not satisfied by the nominated candidates. Just because we will have a NOTA option people will at least come forward to vote and not sit back wasting their votes. Not just NOTA the government should also bring up a policy that if the percentage of NOTA votes in award exceeds 50% or so, The nominated candidates must be changed.

Yes, NOTA should be necessary in democracy because it protects people's right to elect in even the most corrupt situations in case of both the members are bad and corrupt or they don't like the single nominee in their constituency they would still have NOTA option.

The topic of discussion is NOTA choice should be given or not. NOTA means None Of the Above. It is given to voters to show discontent in voters about their candidates. Yes, it does not have the power to change the result or to declare reelection in the state but with these people who found no one eligible for their vote would come and vote so it would increase the voting number. Also, if the number of real voters increases then fake voting also decreases it will also force the political parties to reconsider their candidates if NOTA is exercised more in an area. So it is a way for ensuring better candidates. Also, NOTA is the better option than earlier practices in which if you would choose none of above then your identity will not be safe which is against rules of our election. And no doubt if NOTA is the winner than the party would never install the same candidate again. So I think even if NOTA is weak but still a solution to our some problems.

The presence of NOTA is mandatory nowadays because of democratic rule there is possible chance for the people to support/nonsupport. Definitely it is required NOTA in the list.
