Should voters be given a NOTA (None Of The Above) choice?

Nota is not the best option for the people to show their own aggression. Today we all are living in a democratic country. If we put their importance in nota it's only a waste of time. We must have to choose a candidate which do for the welfare of our country. We have to think over that if we have the power to choose him then don't forget we can reject him also.

Yes, NOTA should be there in elections. If there is no such choice then citizens who do not want to vote any candidate will not come to elections and it will result in a decrease in participation of citizens in elections as election commission has to look at how many citizens are voting. Like if we have 100 citizens and there are two candidates A and B if 30 vote for A and 20 for B and 50 don't come for voting, it will look like only 50 percent people participated in election whereas if there would be a NOTA option then 30 for A, 20 for B and 50 can be NOTA but the election participation will be 100 percent and it is good for a democracy.

At one point in time, I will NOTA will be really beneficial. But there are chances that NOTA% would be higher than any of the nominated candidates. Which indeed will again cause problems (who should take charge?). A RE-ELECTIONS? No, its again waste of resources. Sometimes it happens that leaders change their positions/wards. I feel there should be an option of "KEEP IT AS IT IS" i.e. same leader should take charge. Conducting re-elections might lead to more of corruptions.

In my point of view, the voter has a basic right to vote for NOTA because everybody has their own priority.

The person who chooses a leader who has the ability to make the growth of our nation is good for our country but at the same time choosing a leader who had jealous of money was not fit so NOTA is correct.

In my opinion, there should not be an option for NOTA (None of the Above) on an Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). Allow me to explain why. Consider a scenario where three candidates, A, B, and C, are contesting an election. A significant portion of the population in a particular region does not wish to vote for any of these three candidates. However, there are some individuals who vote in favor of Candidate A unanimously, let's assume that's 25% of the total votes. Additionally, 50% of the votes have been cast against the NOTA option, indicating that these voters do not support the idea of choosing any of the candidates. Furthermore, 25% of eligible voters do not even turn up to vote on election day.

In this situation, Candidate A would likely emerge as the winner, even though they may not have substantial support from the majority of the electorate. The NOTA, however, option can be given after removing the concept of 75 %. It should be at least 50 % so that there would be a chance of re-election, considering that a large number of the voters do not want any of these candidates.

I strongly feel that voters should not be given a any of the above choices. This would be proportional to not casting a vote. This would mean we are avoiding our fundamental duties. Even if we are given a none of the above choices, eventually one among the remaining participants would get selected. This means that we did not utilize our right to vote.

Instead, we should come forward and take active participation. This does not mean we get into politics. We.

Should enquire about our local candidate. If he is inactive and indulging in wrong activities then we should bring the matter known to the higher officials.

This way we could practice our democratic rights efficiently.

Nota is the best option for all Indian people who have the permission for do the vote. My point of view Indian constitution given right to all people to choose the best candidate. But when's happened none of the above candidates not good for their fields and when people are not satisfied what need of them then people's have chance to choose better than Nota mean none of the above.

When 75% of people choose the Nota then once again re-election and once election commission gives the chance to elect better candidates for people.

My opinion it is the best way for elect capable candidate.

In my point of view, ECI should not provide an option to select NOTA, Let me explain reason in 3 points.

1. People will take it so casually, and select NOTA as a choice for some silly reasons like, their caste people haven't got a ticket.

2. There are some lazy people, who don't take the responsibility of selecting a good leader, Instead of analyzing party plans they simply select NOTA and say "I don't have political knowledge", But being in a democratic country everyone should know about the happening of politics because your vote is not only useful for you. It shows a big difference when counted collectively.

3. Instead of providing NOTA, the ECI should do good work while confirming nominations, they should check the history of the person. Also, it will be the best practice if ECI changes the rule to "Only certified/educated candidates are allowed to nomination process ". So the dissatisfaction rate people will decrease.

As INDIA is a democratic country, therefore all Indians have right to elect their representatives. How so ever if any voter could not find in his opinion suitable candidate, then NOTA shall be used.

This not only reduces chances of worst representative selection but also provokes for re-election.

In my perspective NOTA does not have any significance in the election. Out of 100 votes when 99 votes are in favour of NOTA and remaining 1 vote is in favour of a particular party, the party holding one vote becomes the ruling government. Only when all the 100 votes are in favour of NOTA re-elections are conducted. NOTA was introduced only to know how many people does not have faith on any of the parties who are standing for the elections. Hence, NOTA does not have any significance. As discussed earlier, a person who is not interested in voting or person who does not have faith in any party will not go all the way to the voting place to press NOTA. It will have its effect only when re-elections are conducted when maximum percentage are in favour of NOTA.
