Hi everyone,
I think smoking can be permanently banned by us only because the government has to deal with so many other problems related to the workers, their unemployment, revenues as they make GDP of the country.
We all know "Healthy mind lives in a healthy body" only. So this has to be our personal decision. Besides this, if the government make laws to ban it completely, then there should have some more laws to take action against it. And a long list of defaulters along with cases. Funny as it sounds but Indian courts do not need more pending cases.

Yes, smoking should be banned but before that we need to make people aware about the ill facts about smoking. We feel like don't they know that smoking is injurious. Yes they know but most of them addicted to smoking.
I agree with one of the commenter that by banning, most of the people loose their daily hood. However smoking should be banned because daily hood can be earned but life cannot be earned once it is lost.

According to my opinion, smoking shouldn't be completely banned because more than half of the earning from it, in the way of tax and other side effects our health and culture also. We should take steps to remove it then the only problem will be solved.

Smoking should not be banned. If you choose to go into a private establishment that allows smoking, then you do so knowing that it is allowed. It needs to be up to the business owners at their sole discretion. An example: where I live, there are 2 bars across the street from each other. Both of their food is ok. But the bar that allows smoking does 40%more in sales each month. Why is that? People don't like to go to a business that they plan to be at for a while only to have to go outside to smoke. So why should every business be forced to take a 40% loss in sales just to appease a group that everyone is tired of hearing anyway?

Yes, it should be banned completely. Everyone is aware of the health-related hazards caused by smoking. The argument for its continuation according to me comes as totally baseless. There are thousands of avenues to generate income and employment for people other than cigarette production. And then nothing is more valuable than life. Yes, banning it also won't be easy as people who are addicted to smoking would find it hard to leave the addiction behind. The Government needs to start with wide-spread awareness campaigns and distribution of addiction replacing adhesives. So, in the end, smoking must be completely banned and in place of it, good habits should be promoted.

Smoking shouldn't be banned completely. I totally agree it has many side effects, there are many other things which also had side effects. Like oil used on the roadside in restaurants. Water which is used in many shady hotels. Govt should 1st look after health and food Dept. Also, tobacco products give employment to many people in India.
Not only in India, but all over the world, if it gets banned completely all of sudden. What will those family do? They could put age restriction to 21 or to 25.

Hello friends,
Banning smoking completely is not the solution, as addicted ones would go for unusual means such as involving on illegal means to get that pack of cigarette and would harm not only themselves but everyone.
So, there is a need to remove addiction from its root. Spreading knowledge regarding its harmful effects and the government should focus on de-addiction.

I want to say that smoking is banned completely because smokers not only harm themselves but also those around them. Smoking cause cancer to the person who is smoking and even the people who are near a person while smoking they may inhale the smoke air. Many side effects of smoking are there. So, it must be banned.

Hellow friends,
According to my point of view, Smoking should be banned. Because it does nothing good to you. Here it's not about money. It's about someone's life and which is destroying these days. It creates a lot of diseases for example. Lung cancer. Mainly it depends upon our mental condition wheather we should make habit or not.
Because of smoking large number of population are suffering from a number of diseases.
Sometimes it seems logically cool that most of the revenue generated from smoking. After China, India is in the 2nd. Position. However it should not be banned rather we can control orrself not to smoke or quite smoking.
Thats all. Thank You.
