Smoking should be banned in India or anywhere in globe. Smoking as cigarettes contain 200 chemicals which harms our body and passive smoking leads to various respiratory disease to others. Banning of smoking is not possible because it will lead to another options of drugs of many of people which can lead to another problem. Govt on its parts had banned smoking in public places and also imposing more tax on tobacco and cigarettes to discourage the people for smoking. But it will not make any difference until the people who smokes should quit it.

I think smoking should be banned because if we just give awareness about the effects of smoking the people who are addicted to it will not be concerned about the awareness but instead they will try to ignore it. And if we ban smoking it will at least help the beginners get rid of from it. But on the other hand, if we ban smoking totally why the people who are so much addicted to it may try to come crime or do drug deals which will lead to problems in our country and will ruin their life.

Smoking should not be banned. If you choose to go into a private establishment that allows smoking, then you do so knowing that it is allowed. It needs to be up to the business owners at their sole discretion. An example: where I live, there are 2 bars across the street from each other. Both of their food is ok. But the bar that allows smoking does 40%more in sales each month. Why is that? People don't like to go to a business that they plan to be at for a while only to have to go outside to smoke. So why should every business be forced to take a 40% loss in sales just to appease a group that everyone is tired of hearing anyway?

Banned of smoking makes people mad instead of banning tobacco products try to mix them with nicotine like things these make addictors to come out of the habit of smoking.

If we banned it completely the smuggling of tobacco products is going to start illegally which makes loss to govt and loss to the common man by purchasing them with at a higher cost.

I think smoking and tobacco should be completely banned. Only showing ill effects in theatres won't help. It leads to so many problems in teeth, cough, etc.

Today people just smoke to look cool or to peer pressure. The Government should create more awareness about the harmful effects of smoking.

Yes. I totally agree with smoking should be banned. Every 8 second someone dies prematurely from smoking. At any moment under the influence of drugs or alcohol abuses a child. And yellow teeth, cough, cloth smelling from smoking. So our government should be banned completely. But slowly.

Banning smoking instantly will cause a great hush in the society. But its ban is very much needed. As it not only affects the person smoking but also the near ones due to passive smoking. Passive smoking is very dangerous for the ones who live near chain smokers. In today's world it's important to create awareness. We should first create awareness among the people then the hush created can be avoided. Proper measures should be taken for this.

Good morning friends, I am here to discuss about very prominent issue which is alcohol, Tobacco and cigarettes should be banned in India.

According to my thinking smoking should be banned because it is very injurious to health it is also hunts our heart lunges and throat. If you smoke it will cause pollution if possible please don't smoke in public places. So smoking should be banned completely but not suddenly slowly do this process because if any case government will ban the smoking suddenly. There are some chances of addiction the drugs. Drugs is more harmful than the alcohol, tobacco and cigarettes. So finally I would like to say that it should ban completely but not suddenly.

Thank you friends.

Good morning friends,

First of all, I would like to thanks to all my friends for their wonderful experience. I completely agree with this topic that smoking should be banned completely. But not very instant. It should be banned but in a very slow process because it will lead to addiction of other products that are more harmful than cigrattes. In India all of us know that instantly ban leads to strikes also. Smoking cause lungs and throat cancer and also it makes tar in lungs which leads to death also.

It is a duty of public also to quit this because they don't think while smoking that what affects their family after his death. It not only affects the smokers but also affects the people who are nearby.

So govt should aware the public about the bad effects of smoking and should increase the price of cigrattes, tobacco and all.

Thank you.

Hello everyone,

As most of my friends share their views on this topic and I appreciate them for their fantastic thought. As we all know that smoking leads to death so from my point of view, increase in rate of cigarette, tobacco etc is not a proper way. It is a cause of very harmful effect since, smoking makes people addict and if an addict person can't buy his needful things then he can do anything for getting those things.

Our country is the only country where people of so many religions lives and they all have their different will powers. If smokers decided by their will power that smoking is bad or injurious for them then they can stopped it completely.

So I requested to all the people of my country to give a right direction to such type of people who smoke or eating tobacco. I know it's very difficult but we have to do this social work for saving our nation.
