My dear friends, In my point of view, playing a national anthem is a good idea to inject the patriotism into the Indian citizens. We are now a independent country because of somany sacrifices by our Martyrs. Its our responsibility to respect them. Respecting National anthem is equal to respecting sacrifices of Indian martyrs. Hence I support playing in cinema halls because for each and every entertainment we should remember their sacrifices.

Hello everyone,

The topic is should national anthem be played in cinema halls? First of all National Anthem is never sung under roofs. Playing National Anthems under roofs will not instill patriotism by standing for a minute. Love for country is not just about singing anthems but also to come up with solutions to help our nation prosper.

Thank you,

Our National Anthem was written by Rabindranath Tagore as a tribute to our motherland for whom thousands of people gave up their lives. It marks the sacrifice, the culture and the existence of a proud nation called INDIA.

It is because of an independent country like India, people are able to exercise freedom of speech and expression. Cinema is the right example of freedom of expression. Thus, we should thank those martyrs because of whom we are enjoying this freedom. I firmly believe, patriotism comes from the heart and it cannot be forced upon anyone but standing up for a few minutes to join your fellow countrymen and sing the national anthem will do no harm to anyone.

What has national anthem got to do with cinema halls I really can't understand. Ok it can be accepted in cinema halls playing some patriotic films which make us proud of our nation such as biography of Netaji or Gandhiji or any other national hero. In modern days, most of the cinemas have erotic and vulgar contents. So what have they got to do national anthem. People will sing national anthem and then watch those things. It will be a total bluff in the name of nation. And most couples visit cinema halls not for watching movies but with other intention. What effect will the national anthem have on them? And if national anthem is to be made mandatory in cinema halls. Then why not in schools, colleges and every other work place.

Hi guys.

In my opinion, the National Anthem should be played in cinema hall it's very important in our life because when we live our life at that time SOLDIERS play their duty and because of SOLDIERS we live tension free.

It's only 52 seconds standing so it did anyone.

After 52 seconds we did not stand we only sit in the cinema hall so it's useful to our health because first, we stand them we sit 3 hrs so it's ok.

"Instead of listening we sing a NATIONAL ANTHEM".

No, I think National Anthem should not be played in cinema halls. First of all, the feeling of patriotism comes from within and it cannot be forcefully applied. Moreover, instead of playing National Anthem in the cinema halls where double meaning jokes and comedies take place, it can be played at other formal places like before proceeding with the parliament session or before a train or a flight journey.

Hi everyone, according to me.

The national anthem shouldn't be mandatory in Cinema Hall. Actually, the National anthem represents all about our patriotism. Patriotism is a feeling of love toward the country and it can't be shown but can be expressed. So, If we love our country then we should be ready to pay respect toward it any time. It depends upon people to people whether they want to pay respect any time or not. That's why I said National anthem shouldn't be mandatory.

According to me,

The national anthem should be played in cinema halls because watching movies for 3hours and denying to stand even for less than a minute is quite unfair when you have already stood up for it for almost 12years in your school assembly. Moreover, the word national in itself contains a word Nation means we all as Indians are united and part of this nation. It also motivates and reminds our youth to stand and gives respect to our own country's anthem. Standing for less than a minute or for 52 seconds doesn't degrade our positions or time.

First of all, national anthem never plays under the Rooftop.

From my point of view national anthem should not be there in the cinema hall because people are going to cinema hall for fun with their family or friends, if you put patriotism everywhere it would be little irritated for them because there are certain places for that and so as some of my friend, already mentioned that patriotism comes from heart not forcefully.

I think standing up for two minutes during the playing of our national anthem is not going to hamper our entertainment for the rest of two to three hours during which we watch a movie in the cinema hall. There shouldn't be any reason not to agree on this point. It's not too much pain just to stand for two minutes and pay respect to the freedom fighters who fought for independence of India and for the soldiers who are protecting our country on the border by patrolling and fighting with enemies day and night only to keep us safe and protect us while we are watching movie in a Cinema hall.
