Should national anthem be played in cinema halls?

This is not the way to show our respect for our country. Yes, the SC had taken steps to play national anthem only in theaters, it should also be played on railways, bus stand etc before starting the journey! And also on parliaments before the talk. It's not only to be played on cinema halls where the people come from rejuvenating their mind. There are many other good ways to show our patriotism.

Hello everybody, According to my point of view, I think that national anthem should not be played in cinema hall because cinema hall is a place, where people go for their entertainment. But our national anthem has its own reputation and rules. If people sing the national anthem, they must obey the rules and regulation for singing this, otherwise, it would be insulted. Although our national anthem stands for our patriotism and our unity but there is another formal place to sing this like, 'before starting any educational institute', or 'before starting work in any office' or 'before start any journey in "train" or "airplane", etc. But in cinema hall people are there in a funny or enjoyable mood, they usually do not expect any serious thing there. And another thing is that there play different types of movies in cinema halls, some of them present 'social malpractice' like "Udta Punjab", some contain 'cruelty and brutality' like "Hollow man", some are with many adult or sexual contents like "Grand Masti", "Parched", "Cosmic sex" etc. So before this movies, National anthem playing is just ridiculous thinking. - Thank you.

Yes, I think so because our national anthem is proof of Indian's. Everyone has to know about our India.

According to my point of view, National anthem must play in cinema hall. Its our duty to stand and respect.

This is not a right place to play national anthem because no body stand and respect national anthem only laugh and giving unnecessary comment only.

According to me, singing national anthem in movie theater does not show your love and patriotism towards your country but doing something useful for it does.

Supreme court announced that all the cinema halls across the country should play National Anthem before starting films. I believe patriotism comes out of love and respect for one's nation. We cannot force fed to anyone just by making them stand up while playing the national anthem before starting movies. Imagine National Anthem, the most sacred tune is played before the movie with double meaning jokes and vulgar comments Udta punjab, Grand Masti. I don't believe it should be played before movies in theatres.

The national anthem used to be played in cinema halls across India, once upon a time, but the practice faded away. The Supreme Court should have dismissed the petition filed by Bhopal resident Shyam Narayan Chouski, because playing the national anthem before movies is just ridiculous.
