Yes, I support the order of the government To play national anthem in cinema hall.

While listening and singing national anthem I just feel proud and I feel so good by heart.

Our Indian army fights every day and night and stands for us in such a areas where we can't even survive for days. And whenever there is a terrorist attack so many people say we are with are India and people and army. All their patriotism comes out at that time. Those people can stand for hours in line for free jio Sim but they have a problem in standing for 2 mins during the national anthem. Those people should feel shame.

No it should not be Mandatory to play national anthem in the cinema Hall's because It has to be played in the places where it should create respect towards the anthem. One can recall our school days how we used to go to our schools on the occasion of independence day republic day etc. That was all nice time the respect will came from the core of the heart itself. The cinema theatres are the places where one can go to enjoy with there beloved ones. Of course they can stand while playing but most of the cases the respect is not from the heart just to avoid the criticism by the others. That type of respect is not neccessory hence it should not be mandatory.

No use standing in theatres for National anthem instead we should stand for child labour stand for widows orphans so many National and social issues for which people should stand and so many issues there are there in the society one needs to stand for that and lastly even in Loksabha in Delhi National Anthem is not sung then why in movie theatres.

In My Opinion, National Anthem must be played in Cinema Hall, it's a symbol of our love towards our nation. We Play National Anthem in our Schools if that's ok then what's the problem with playing it in cinema halls, it just only takes 52 seconds, we went there for spending 2 or 3 hours so I think there is no problem with playing National Anthem. We Should Stand Up and proudly hear National Anthem by raising our heads and Singing it loudly and Proudly.

Reading through these comments I see that the main point raised by people who think the national anthem should be played is a " show of patriotism", let me ask if playing the national anthem inculcate patriotism why don't we just play it everywhere from hotels to hospitals.

Well my point is I think things that symbolize our nation should be respected let it be our national flag anthem emblem or anything but introducing them into places like a movie hall is unnecessary and will only rip it of its value because where should the national anthem be played? at events of national importance and at some institutions where it holds rarity and value.

There are better ways to contribute to your nation and patriotism is not a show off it should be feeling from within we have days to reminisce about the men/women who died protecting our country just like we have days for all those from varied professions who contributed in its cause before and after independence [so see we don't need boosts of the national anthem for that] and yes for those who said it's just 52 seconds compared to a 2-3 hour movie the point is not the time here but what the anthem holds in a movie hall where I watched romcom movie yesterday.

Being a patriot and a great lover of our national anthem since my childhood days the mandate gives a sign of relief that more people will respect the national anthem now. But then the question comes to my mind why only cinema halls, why not make it mandatory in each and every government institution say for example banks, offices, collectorate, courts and many more such places. Are they not citizens of India. Why only cinema halls. Supreme Court should do some proper home work. No doubt its intention is good. But should be done by proper planning.

I don't know why people can't stand for even 52 seconds of time, it's our motherland. We have the time to watch the movie for 3 hours but we didn't have the time to stand. Yes, it's our duty to show respect to our national anthem. Our freedom fighters have done a lot of things to get independence then why can't we people. While listening to our national anthem we will get goosebumps and we will think of it. Think once after our school days when we sing it again. And for illiterates it's too helpful so that they can know the meaning of national anthem. So guys please feel responsible and it's our duty to make people patriotic. We should stand and give respect.

Before delving further into the topic its important for us to understand. Why is national anthem played?

I feel this gets us to an answer of paying respect to our country. But does playing national anthem in the movies really brings respect to it. The answer would be big no because not everybody there is as patriotic to stand and salute the feeling for which it is played.

Cinema halls contain public of some who may have patriotism and may stand up for the good cause but what about others who are more interested in the upcoming trailers or arranging their seats. It would be a disrespect to our nation's pride, nations anthem and even it wouldn't bother them as they are left unnoticed. If it should be played in cinemas then it should be played in parliaments, in workplaces & people not respecting it shouldn't be left unnoticed. That would be real respect to the motive with which it played.

Good morning everyone, My name is Aritra Majumdar.

I feel that there shouldn't be a law that forces people to stand up for about a minute in the cinema hall before the movie is shown.

Because patriotism is something that should come from within.

Simply by standing up, it is no mark of respect for the motherland.

Also, we can't mock or jeer at people who are not standing up during the national anthem and call them traitors and other bad names without any actual justification.
