Should India have a One Child Policy?

India should adopt one child policy as foremost problem is our population which is being keep on increasing and the resultant of which is itense competition unemployment unequality and so on to avoid such problems we should adopt this policy.

India should not implement one child policy instead it should Go with providing awareness and implementing rules like more than 2 children would not provide facilities by the gov or if reservation is claimed by that family that should also be provided up to 1 or 2 children not more than that.

China is well known for having instituted a one-child policy back in 1979. While the policy was effective in stemming population growth, critics argue that the side effects of the policy have created many societal problems in China today.

In a country like India, population planning can only be achieved by formulating and implementing a strong policy, particularly among less educated women. Women should be encouraged so that they can learn about family planning. Obviously, women\'s empowerment has to be the central theme in population planning policies.

Another fact is that, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, achieved declines of fertility without a one-child policy. These two states maintained healthy sex ratio without one child policy.

One child policy cannot be implemented in India in the same way as in China, education and persuasion methods are appropriate and necessary.

Therefore, education about family planning is necessary to control population growth. No need to implement one child policy.

These days parents are already very busy to spend time with their children. Therefore if a child will not have any siblings then he/she may feel very lonely. And may not get the required amount of love and care.

This will be quite difficult for GOI that how to distribute the resources for public welfare. Also China being worried about this is following such policies to regulate their population.
