Yes, I think India should strictly have to follow this rule of one child policy just to control the population of our country and also the main thing was to utilise all the resources easily if the population can be controlled so there will never face any problems like the stagnation of the resources I think Indian government should badly implement this and think about that matter for the better economy.

Hello everyone, so the topic of our GD is 'Should India have a child policy'.
As we all know we are the country of the largest population in the world because of that we can see there are several issues are arising in today's time like unemployment, health issues and family planning.
But I think in my opinion the one-child policy is not something which helps or there may be a possibility that this policy may create some adverse effects like a reduction in the number of young people and the ones who can do a job efficiently and positively.
I think we need to improve our technology and innovation to combat the issues related to unemployment and health issues like the other countries japan and China they also have one of the largest populations in the world but because of their innovation and technological developments, they are not facing this kind of issues.

Yes, this should become compulsory for our country because there is 150 cr population in India in 2025, and around 50% of the population is less than 35 years old. Then we do not need much younger than this to make our country manufacturning hub.
If we continue to do "TWO CHLID POLICY" it will better because in India most people wants two child one daughter and one son but there is also big chunk of population who thinks that childern is so called "GOD BLESSING". So, they end up being parents of 4 or 5 childern and due to this they will be never able to feed their childern proprely and educate them.

As per my view, India should have one child policy as we know population of India is go increase day by day if we don't implement this policy we have the largest population in world till 2050 To control overpopulation is only way 5hat can apply but in India people of village are not much educated as they may take some time to adopt this thing. So my conclusion is that. India should have one child policy but by proper rules and implementation also take before adopted like women empowerment. Etc.

I'd like to put forward my point of view, here which is if we try to look at the issue in a horizontal manner there are some major drawbacks as well as advantages on implementing such a policy.
Advantages being that it's going to put a hold on the rapidly rising population which is something to be gravely looked into. Since adopting a one child policy is definitely going to provide with more amount of resources to be utilized by the people. Furthermore, a lesser amount of wastage, lesser consumption.
Whereas, if we trying focusing on the drawbacks it does make it very lonely for a single child to be in a family. Makes it worse, if both the parents are working. To have a sibling is something all of us prefer. Moreover, when the parents grow older, the responsibility to look after them can be divided among their children. Given the kind of work pressure and busy life, most people have in today's time. Which does make life easier for all of them? That's it from my side. Thank you.

Hi All,
I feel that the one-child policy is more suitable for a developed nation like the USA and not for India, as we are still in the developing phase of growth. Maybe after a few years from now we will think of this policy.
Although we are currently no 1 in population at the same time we must know that youth has a major role in the development of the country. Hence "Hum do and humare do" would be a nice version of the one-child policy and it will also balance the sex ratio of the country.

Good evening team.
My name is Baidya.
I’m glad to start on discussion on the topic of "Should India adopt single child policy?
In my point of view, Yes, India should adopt a single-child policy, as this day is India’s number one in population point of view adopting single child policy, the first child standard of education, the standard of health care, and a great balance of life could be maintained. If more than one child is in any family then this will lead to dividing the whole wealth into two parts. So the single-child policy is beneficial in all points of view.
Thanks.

While the idea of a one-child policy may address some of India's population-related challenges, the negative consequences and ethical concerns likely outweigh the potential benefits. Policies aimed at improving education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, particularly for women, tend to be more effective and less intrusive ways of managing population growth.
Encouraging voluntary family planning and providing access to contraceptive methods can also help achieve sustainable population levels without the need for coercive measures.

I think it's urgently required for India to adopt a one-child policy. Instead of trying to make babies, people should first try making friends with their neighbors otherwise there will inevitably be an impending war for space and resources in the future. If we want to ensure peace in the future there needs to be population control and I repeat. It's URGENT!

India is a subcontinent. A country with the largest population in the world, even greater than China. This impacts every sector of our developing country and even if we look properly we can see this huge population is related to almost 90 per cent of problems in this country. So if the question is about the one-child policy, I must say India should have this policy, but after taking some measures to maintain the sex ratio. In many regions of India, the girl child is not accepted properly even in this 21st century so if India is going to have this policy, many awareness campaigns regarding this policy, its importance in present days and as well as the importance of girl child, should be conducted all over the country. So in the end, I must say if India is going to have a child policy, after making proper grounds for it, it must be beneficial for India's 90 per cent problems.
