Retirement Age for Politicians

There should be a determined retirement age for politicians. As it gives the young blood chance to prove themselves by running nation. We know every job has a retirement age. Every coin has a two sides. Elder people have ample of experience. They make the younger generation known to the measures and principles of politics.

So I advice the constitution that there should be a age of retirement. But there should be some post in the government "the elderly advisory council".

Hi friends according to my perceptions I think most of you are support the retirement of politicization agree and know all the good ideas my aim is not to put anyone in confusion according to me teeth is no need for retirement for politicians. There is more need for experience leaders. However for develop the country there is more need of good experience leader. Let a example of Narendra Modi, he is a powerful leader. He do many type of work in comparison to new generation leaders.

In my opinion, there should be a fixed age for retirement of a politician, because, younger peoples can run government better than them, as they knew much more about the needs of today's generation.

I firmly believe that lowly educated people or people who lack the presence of mind should never be allowed to contest in the elections, and yes age age limit is a must. Today as we gear up for bigger role in world economy, we cannot leave the reins of our country in a government filled with people who are old, incompetent and cannot take smart decisions. Having said that, how can we, the common people make it happen?

According to me in India the politicians time period should be for maximum 8-10 years. Because when they have joined politics his mind thought more than 90% in developing the country. After this period his mind thought just on earning money.

So this is depends upon the mental ability of person. If they do best work for the country then I think there is no need to retired a person. Otherwise if does not work properly then also no need to retired there is need to terminate.

No, there is no need to set a retirement age for politicians. We have seen many examples of leaders, our country has had, many of them, despite of their old age they did great job in the Indian politics, and there are also examples of young leaders who couldn't perform well in it, so in the history of Indian politics and even in the present scenario, I think age didn't matter. And also we do need some experienced leaders in our political system to run it efficiently with the help of their experience.

I think politicians who are above 60 needs a rest so age limit should be 60 because as you know in every govt employee has retirement age of 60 so they are not experienced? They are not well versed in the field? Then how come politicians continue there journey after 60.

And people who are now at 60 has many health issue they sleep in the Rajya Sabha hall, they get sleep in the meeting hall there are many peoples are disturbed with there health nowadays.

And for every issues they use old traditional method to solve, today we are surrounded with technology, till today same old papers are running on the table of Govt employee so when expect the change, definitely change is needed, we are dreaming for digital India to come true.

So I strongly feel politician age limit should be fixed.

When you are in Government Job you have a retirement age. But when you are a politician you don't have any retirement age. Why?

Hello friends I agree with you that age doesn't matters for politician. But who have above 60 there are more experienced and also good decision making but they don't more enthusiastic, dynamic and energetic.

So I would like to said there are be the mentors of young politicians, who are energetic, enthusiastic, creative, innovative and know about more technology to solve the problems of our country. But in decision making they should proper consulting to experience leaders/politicians.

According to me retirement age of any politician doesn't matter but question comes what matters? We can see there are so many politician who made our country very proud of their political work and still they are working to guide our youth to jump into politics. We are youth and we need to experience to become good politician. So we need to work under master politician to grab some experience to become a good leader.
