According to me their should be a retirement slab for the politician although it would be a tough process but why not if the politicians are not aware of the technologies and some are uneducated and just enjoying the facilities of their position rather than contributing to the country.

In every sectors of service age slab is compulsory then why not politicians as even they provide service also if its made mandatory new people and youth who are educated and known to all the new technologies will get the chance to contribute best to the country. This will also help getting rid of family tradition that is steadily growing in our Indian politics.

If father resigns his daughter/son gets the chance, hence in this case only their family gets a chance and grows whereas our Indian economy and its growth remains as it it. Hence with the retirement age slab many changes can take place for the better future.

I think politicians who are above 60 needs a rest so age limit should be 60 because as you know in every govt employee has retirement age of 60 so they are not experienced? They are not well versed in the field? Then how come politicians continue there journey after 60.

And people who are now at 60 has many health issue they sleep in the Rajya Sabha hall, they get sleep in the meeting hall there are many peoples are disturbed with there health nowadays.

And for every issues they use old traditional method to solve, today we are surrounded with technology, till today same old papers are running on the table of Govt employee so when expect the change, definitely change is needed, we are dreaming for digital India to come true.

So I strongly feel politician age limit should be fixed.

According to me, it is better to set a duration of some five years for a person to continue in politics irrespective of his age. Because in this duration, the people who have elected the person will come to know the ability of the candidate.

This duration is sufficient for a person to serve the people if he really had such a desire. According to me, a person's strong will towards achieving overall progress of the nation and the concern about the people matters, not the age limit. So setting a retirement age for politicians is illogical one.

If a person is really willing to serve the people he can do that at any age. An ideal politician will always support the youth so that even they get the opportunity as they don't bother about their position and power.

Hi guys, this is Somya Sharma.

I respect the points of everyone that all of you have given but after listening all of you I wanna say that there should be age limit as many guys said that mostly people loss their health and then they are not so capable to serve the country and by this youth will a get chance to serve the country.

After that I wanna say that if a person is really doing well and if he/she has the capacity to serve the country and if that person is interested so he/she must be given the chance for doing good work.

But if a person in age limit is not doing well then he must be retired because he is not able to do this work.

Many guys said that if old experience and new ideas will be mixed then country will grow rapidly.

Thank you.

The politicians in most of the cases are not extraordinary men. They have also physical and mental limitations. Normally, they should retire at the age of 60. Considering the developments in medical science and better healthcare facilities, people remain fit until the age of 80.

Since there is a dearth in the number of matured politicians in the country, we have to make a cut off at the age of 60 and a second term be allowed after a mandatory check by eminent doctors. A person meant for the third term again be monitored medically. Now Mr Modi is of the age of 70. Trump is around 80. Beyond 80 people should not be in active politics. President of our country, if found fit can work after 80 even.

Hello everyone. A green good evening to all viewer.

In my opinion. Of course, there should be an age limit of the politician. And have a proper retirement of the leader. Because we are a youth and we have to give up a chance to serve the nation. And of course experience is precious mother. But look at another part. That means I am talking about enthusiasm, energy, and also physical and mental ability. Youth have all. So we have to choose a young leader with new thought and peak energy level. So that our nation going to another kind of success. And the retired leader also serves the nation beside of the main leader and gave a proper direction to him. Just like coach in cricket and all games.

Yes, there should be retirement age for politicians as there is a retirement age for government employees and public sector employees, there should be retirement age for politicians also. Employees are retired on the basis of their age because they are not so physically fit and doesn't have good stamina as compare to youngsters. So for better and efficient work at offices retirement is given to the employees who are aged and youngsters are given chances. So, in the same way, politicians also need retirement and youngsters should be given chances for ruling country for its betterment with better ideas but of course that candidate should be qualified and experienced for that position.

Yeah, somewhere I agree with that point that there must a certain age for retirement. Because generally, we see that our leaders are too much older they are not able to do their daily work but due to our system, they are indulging in politics. Politics is not only depended upon experience but also it depends upon energy, decision making power and last it must be able to handle that pressure. I think these things are the very important things to be a good leader and think if youth will come on that field then somewhere there is a possibility that they can do better. As far as experience is a concern it will come gradually, in this way somewhere we are able to bring youth in politics.

I think there should be a retirement age for politicians too. The age is debatable.

I think 65 is a good time for retirement.
Some people are saying that the more experienced the better.

Please note that "age" is not equal to experience.

If you think a person below 50 can't manage well, then you are not trusting yourself.
From age of 25 to 45, you have 20 years of experience, which is not less.
Think people think. Don't be afraid to take the responsibilities.
Gandhi ji started a revolution when he was below 40.

We need more young people like Gandhi.

- who are not afraid to question the "normal",
- who has the courage to stand up and speak.
- who has the dare to take decisions.
