I think it is a horrible act and perpetrators who commit the crime should be punished severely. The penalty for such crimes should be death. Some people feel that strict provisions may be misused against innocent people. But why should a majority of victims suffer because of few dishonest individuals? Society needs to open up and start supporting women. We might talk about their liberation, but women are still suffering.

Giving a death sentence is not an end to the problem.
A better solution should be that womens should become more powerful so that such incidents donot happen.They should be given adequate training to deal with such situations.They should not go to places where they feel insecure or they should keep sprays or things like that which can make the other person unconscious .

Yes of-course. Because, due to some dishonest individuals, women wont be able to do their works freely. For example family member wont allow women to stay outside for late night why because of fear of dishonest peoples or criminals.
In my opinion Death Sentence is the best way to develop the fear free society where the women play a very very important role in the growth of our society.

I think for crime like rape, it's important to spread awareness among every citizen to abstain from these type of crime. Anyone found guilty must be punished severely but not death sentence because after death the criminal will not feel guilty, I think life imprisonment is the most suitable option for punishment.

Death penalty is the only deterrent to a heinous crime like rape. As mentioned by a speaker above it is unfortunate that a women's countenance is being blamed for the crime instead of the man's intention. To value a women's life, to give her justice awarding death penalty to the guilty might be of some justice.

There are many crimes happening every day in India, one of those Rape is the most dangerous crime which girls are facing. Rape itself is a thrilling word that terrifies all the girls in our surroundings. I think, for this dreadful crime guilty should be punished by death penalty.

Yes the rapist has to be given death sentence because no one likes to die if you award him life time he is gonna happily spend the rest of the years in jail. Only this can bring fear for committing such crime by anyone in the future.
