No, Religion doesn't divide us. It is the mentality of the people which does. Religion always focused on humanitarian values and this is something we should understand at the base level. People bring their personal preferences in between and convert them into religious acts in order to seek fake validation for their inhuman acts.

Hello,

Every person has problemS. Every day we face a lot of problems, we can't expect mankind without problems but when we start facing them that tells how much we are strong in our problem solving skills.

All people pray for the same god in different types of religions when god is showing no difference then why should people show difference in the name of religion. God is only one. God sees only the dedication that we show towards him no matter in which religion we are. India is a pool of religions. When problems arise in India then all the religions unite, become one and start solving the problems. The religion does not divide the people divide it is up to us in which way we choose. So, believe in unity in diversity.

THANK YOU

Hi,

Problems definitely unite us as whenever there are any protests or strikes against any group or individuals, we never think that the people who are protesting with us belong from our community or not, we never think that are they from the same religion or not? we never think that are they of the same gender or not? We only remember that we are united.

On the other hand, it is said that religions divide us but it is because of our own mindsets because all the religions teach us the same things like unity, peace, justice and equality but we people interpret our religions in a wrong manner that creates disputes and bitterness among all of us. In this way, our love for our own religion makes us hate the people belonging to other religions.

Thank you.

In my opinion, there's nothing to do with religion when you are going for any work or problem in life.

Religion is just faith in god, but with humanity, we are able to trust in the people around us. Religion should be kept within ourselves, people should not be judged on the basis of religion as the person's skills or attitude matters most in any field. Yeah, I think problems unite us but religions divide us. Let's take an example of any contagious virus that goes around after years in the world everyone stands against that virus by forgetting about their identity of religion and there's the only thing in common with humanity which unite people. Everyone in this world has the right to follow the religion that they want to, but every person has a soft corner in their about humanity. In my opinion, humanity should be kept above religion as when someone is in need we don't have to think about his religion and we should serve him for humanity. I dread the world if they will just think about religion and forget about humanity, this will vandalise this world.

Thanks.

It is true that when human beings face problems they come together. We can take many instances to prove that. In October 2013, Cyclone Phailin hit Andhra Pradesh and Odisha and caused immense damage. When such a calamity befell India, people of India came forward to help their fellow citizens.

Funds started pouring in from all parts of India and many organizations such as the ISKCON Food Relief Foundation and Google came forward to offer their help. It is sad to note that only when problems arise do people show care and concern to their fellow citizens.

Religion-Everyday we can see one column in newspaper covering the act of violence on the name of religion. People have the tendency to kill each other on the name of religion.

Hello,

It is true that problem unites us and religion divides us. But I think we have to come across this line of religion for humanity, after all we all humans so humanity comes first. We have to help people during their hard time and we also ask for help to solve any problem. Suppose if any one needs blood for sever bleeding we ask our neighbors and friends who are in our contact at that point of time peoples came together to help that person. At that point of time, we forgotten about religion. So, I think religion can't divides us. Problem and Religion all units us. We know that some political persons and some bigoted person divides people in the name of religion but it is the responsibility of youths to remove this type of problem by raising voice.

Problems unite us and religion divides us, I partially agree with the statement because there is no doubt that problems unite us every time and no religion said disrespect the other religion it's the people who made that. Every religion says one thing but in a different way.

India is a country of "UNITY IN DIVERSITY".

We do have many religions, castes and communities that are different by their own tradition and culture. The religion of every individual is his\her own identity and belonging. But the problem arises when it is compared with each other.

Here ego, hatred, and vengeance are taken into account trying to project which religion is the best. Religion is NOT dividing us. The way we see it from a wrong perspective and comparing two religions in a weighing scale does.

I fear that these PROBLEMS occur and it is not uniting us here as we do unite. Respecting each individual's beliefs and faiths and valuing the same can keep people UNITED despite religions and unite them in standing together to face a problem.

Hi everyone,

I want to share my opinion on the topic "Problems unite us, Religion divides us" and I agree with the first half of the statement that is "Problem unite us" as our history itself is an evident to it, for instance "India’s first war of independence- 1857" and so on. But when it comes to the second half of the statement "Religion divides us" I disagree with it.

As, per my view, Religion is something which provide hope, motivation and teaches us to perform righteous deeds in any situations. It also sometimes provides a person's insight. But due some people's selfishness or overshadowing some incident or some other motives, they create friction between community which are the actual reason for disputes between community's disputes.

In conclusion, I wanted to address that it's not religion which is dividing us but the people with their selfish desire to gain anything irrespective of its consequence.
