According to me, religion actually broadens our mentality, and teach us that all are the same and also gives us power to help people in need, thus religion doesn't divide us

I agree with this that "problems unite us but I partially agree with the statement that Religion divides us" because Religion divides us culturally, we have so much cultural diversity in our country India and that's the beauty of our country that we celebrate this diversity and live peacefully. But, at the end, we all are human beings, it's just a chance that we take birth in the religion that we are in. If we take our religion only as a matter of chance then we never disrespect other religions for anything. And coming to the statement that the problem unites us is true. As recently we have seen during the COVID-19 pandemic we all United and fought against this deadly virus. People help each other despite being from any religion. Even countries also come together and help each other make and distribute vaccines against the virus. Also, whenever anything wrong (like criminal offence, or environmental impact,) happens we come together, rally, candle March, and protest this also shows that the problem unites us. Whenever any disaster happens, people come together to help those affected.

I completely agree with the point. "Problems unite us, Religion divides us". I could see most of them are totally against the point 'Religion divides us'.

Although every religion joined together to get rid of the British we missed the point that only because of our separation through religion made it easy for the British to invade us. Still, we can sense the religious differences in many rural and undeveloped areas. Many people are being killed in the name of religious prestige. It's a bitter truth that religious differences are still placed in our country.

Hello everyone, Good Afternoon I am Vaibhav.

I would like to discuss on interesting topic "Problems unite us, Religion divides us".

I think it is true, when people face a common issue so they don't see religion in between. They come together and unite for issue fight for the issue.

The statement digs into the 2 dimensions of human nature.

We humans have a weird connection between us. We are born to love. Whenever there is any crisis, any issue or disaster, we consider this a collective problem. We often help strangers. This is where the diversity fades away and humanity takes the front seat.

But when we let religion enter the conversation, there is a sudden shift from collective thinking to individual identity. We start taking an attack on belief as an attack to personal identity. So, yes, Religion comes and creates a partition in humanity. But this is not fully correct. If every religion is understood and studied properly while because after all we are all children of god, then no one can divide us. Instead, we all will bloom together like different flowers in God's garden.

It's true that we all unite by problems and divide by religions.

Because the problems are pollution, traffic, and many more things like there is no more education system, which we all face, no matter what your religion is, because everybody travels, they are all stuck in traffic and get affected by pollution, but no one wants to discuss, as religion comes first.

Hi guys,

I am Akash Nigam and I think this is life biggest truth. As we all know in any type of problem weather it is related to politics or natural catastrophe humanity will stand together face it as a united world, which is actually the work of the religion to make the world where people live in peace and unity. As I think what if we make the problem of our new religion and one who causes this problem will become our god because as of now in every religion god is just like art that is perfected by human day by day which is not gonna cause any good.

Hello everyone,

I agree with the statement, problems unite us while religion divides us. I would say covid 19 as the best example. Doctors and Nurses all over the world helped patients regardless of their religion.

Many people and organisations helped the poor with groceries, etc regardless of their religion. Thus, problems unite us.

Religion is a set of belief systems that varies from person to person belief and it expands (evolves) due to one's belief. Until these beliefs exist conflict is inevitable. However, if persons in religion realize that these beliefs are set by assumptions, religion is not a true representation of beliefs it should be understood by every human being then it leads to mitigating conflict.

And some fundamental human rights (equal justice, freedom, right to live anywhere, right to speak, etc), and some common problems like environmental issues will bring unite use. These fundamental issues also occur due to technological development and energy displacement in nature this problem always will exist throughout human life hence, it drives us to be united to fight against these common problems.
