Problems unite us, Religion divides us

While the statement says ‘problems unite us and religion divides us, ’ I would like to present a more balanced perspective.

Historically, religion was not created to divide people. It actually played a crucial role in organising societies. In earlier centuries, religion acted as a framework for governance, social order, and moral guidance, often tailored to specific geographies. For example, practices evolved based on local conditions, culture, and challenges people faced.

In that sense, religion originally united communities by giving them a shared identity, purpose, and value system.

However, over time, especially with conquests, migrations, and political interests, religion began to be used as a tool for differentiation and sometimes conflict. So the division we see today is less about religion itself and more about how it is interpreted or used.

In today’s globalised world, problems like climate change, gender inequality, education gaps, and economic instability are universal. These challenges cut across religions and clearly require collective action.

Therefore, I believe religion should remain a personal and individual choice, something that guides one’s values and self-reflection but should not interfere with social harmony or collective progress.

Ultimately, it is not religion that divides us, but the lack of evolved understanding. If we respect diversity while focusing on shared human problems, both religion and unity can coexist.

Whenever we hurt the first thing comes to our mind a word "MAA".

This simply means that whenever we are facing some problem we need help, irrespective of caste religion, sex, creed.

We should help people in any situation after all we all are creatures of god. Religion should not come into the picture for the help if other people. So I am going for the motion.

According to me,

No matter in which dharma or religion we belong.

All religions and their holy books give a message to live with unity and always help others. So how can religion divide us?

And of course, a problem is a situation where we all take the initiative to overcome that particular problem.

According to me, Both divide and both unite us. Problems may create more disparity and it may lead to the destruction of one. Man is a social being, and its okay to function as a community, it's in our very nature, so religion being a community is totally fine until unless when someone says our religion is better than other!

1. Problem unite us:

Common challenges-when people face common difficulties or challenges such as natural disasters, economic crises or socil injustices, they often come together to find out its solution, in such situation race, nationality and religion take a back seat and people work together with a common goal.

Example- we all are come together to study and want to became an one of the good knowledge we came to this platform this is also common goal to fight with our on actions and thoughts toward the unity.

2. Religion divide us:

Religious differences-religious difference belief can sometimes create divisions, leading to create misunderstanding, conflict or discrimination, different religious may have contrasting views, rituals or ideologies that can cause tension between communities.

Example-religious conflicts such as those between different sects or between followers of different faiths, often lead to social divisions and violences.

Religion does not always divide us in a bad way. Instead, it gives us different ways to see the world, celebrate life, and connect with something greater than ourselves. People follow different religions, but all teach values like love, kindness, and peace.

These differences can help us learn from one another and grow together. Just like different flowers in a garden, different religions add beauty and meaning to our shared world. So, religion can unite us through respect, not divide us.

In my point of view, religion is an important thing that in society because people believe in different types of gods in society and also different thinking and different perspectives.

For example, in musim anyone marrying twice was considered normal, but in Hindu culture, it was considered wrong, and in Christianity, it was also considered wrong.

That is create some conflict and fights that why we are doing those regional divisions.

And also creating big wars also creates that.

We respect every region and respect all regions' philosophies.

Yes. It's true that when a man faces the problem then at that time only a human beings help them, they don't see the religion for helping the others. So problems unite us.

I feel religion is the only thing keeping this world together, it is the only thing that keeps people from tearing this world apart and from turning into animals. The problem when people who are known as the authority of religion or people who know about religion use religion as a tool fight personal wars and the only way to counter this problem is by preaching the lost the true meaning of their religion. Problems do unite us they show the best of people who try and help other people. The solution for the problems created by religion is for the good and intelligent population to take action and expose the people who are trying to divide this world and it's population.

I agree with the statement that religion divides us but not the problems unite us. It is because of the jealous and cunning nature of people, they make it look like they helping people with problems but they have the feeling of not helping.

There is no humanity left in today's society and it's the absolute truth. And for the second part about religion, people tend to discriminate against other people via religion, money, country, and skin colour.
