Group Discussion Topic: Problems Unite Us, Religion Divides Us.
In today’s world, shared problems often bring people together, while religion, though meaningful, can sometimes cause divisions. Here's my take:
1. Shared Challenges Unite: Global issues like climate change, pandemics, and poverty transcend boundaries, uniting people in their efforts to find solutions. For example, during COVID-19, communities worked together regardless of religion, showing how common problems foster unity.
2. Religion as Cultural Foundation: Religion offers moral guidance and community, but conflicts arise when beliefs are rigidly interpreted or politicized. The divisions are not caused by religion itself but by how it's sometimes misused.
3. Education and Dialogue: Promoting interfaith dialogue, cultural exchange, and religious tolerance through education can bridge divides. Understanding different perspectives helps overcome conflicts.
4. Unity in Diversity: Focusing on common problems like inequality and environmental issues helps us see past religious differences. Working together on shared goals fosters unity in diversity.
5. Solution-Oriented Approach: Encouraging collaboration across religious lines on community and social projects builds cohesion. It shifts the focus from division to solving shared problems.
Conclusion: While religion can divide, shared challenges often unite us. By fostering tolerance, collaboration, and dialogue, we can bridge religious divides and focus on solving the issues that affect us all.

Yes, I do agree with this statement, as going on with the statement problem unites us, there are several examples in font of us when there is a flood or any pandemic or natural calamities occurs in a state or whether there is a war is going on between two countries, we the people are not hesitated to help others there we are not making any kind of boundaries such as religion, race, nationality etc.
The religions that originated from different cultures, provide a base to us. The good messages that are written or portrayed will help to improve our thoughts, but when we see or give more importance to religion than humanity, then whatever religion is followed by you it has no sense. Then the religion will divide you and it has great power to kill humankind.

I agree with the statement that problems unite us religion divides us.
While religion promotes core values like unity and compassion, it is often misused by political leaders for their benefit, leading to division. The most fundamental value in life should be humanity, something everyone must uphold.
Like in the analogy where white and red ants fight only after someone shakes the jar, people often engage in conflicts without realizing the external forces causing them. It’s important to reflect on our actions and focus on what truly matters—our shared humanity.

'Problems unites us, Religion divides us'
Problems unite us--According to the statement if somebody has any kind of problem in any circumstance then other people come to help them to solve their problems or they go away to stay far from the problem that means problems unite us religion divides us--
Many religions on earth have their perspectives and identify someone based on their country's religions because countries are divided on the earth based on their traditions religions soo don't know religion divides country or country divides the religion.

I would like to put my opinions about this topic "Problems unite us and religions divide us".
I do think that for problems which we face, we look for help and the help us who can give and solution to it could be anyone like our friends are tips the people who know but this person can also be from other religions and what we only look for the solution at that time when we are facing a major problem it's what people's nature which unites a person with another not the religion differentiate between them in different scenarios where people don't like other religion then they will not even bother to take help from any person who is from other religion so, in that case, religion May divide people from other people.

1. Problem unite us:
Common challenges-when people face common difficulties or challenges such as natural disasters, economic crises or socil injustices, they often come together to find out its solution, in such situation race, nationality and religion take a back seat and people work together with a common goal.
Example- we all are come together to study and want to became an one of the good knowledge we came to this platform this is also common goal to fight with our on actions and thoughts toward the unity.
2. Religion divide us:
Religious differences-religious difference belief can sometimes create divisions, leading to create misunderstanding, conflict or discrimination, different religious may have contrasting views, rituals or ideologies that can cause tension between communities.
Example-religious conflicts such as those between different sects or between followers of different faiths, often lead to social divisions and violences.

Hi Everyone, I completely agree with this statement. This is harsh truth to accept and gel with but it is how the society around us works. The same people who put status on how secular a nation India is makes big fuss when it is their turn to accept their children's decision to marry someone from other religion. And this one single scenario is enough to understand how deep rooted the obsession of religion is in majority of the population in India.

I agree with the topic "Problems unite us, Religion divides us".
The problem unites us.
When people face a problem, the only thing they search for is the solution to get out of that problem or situation.
For example, if a person is met with an accident and needs blood immediately then he will be required with the matching blood group but not whether the donor is from which religion. If he is thinking of religion or other then he will be at great risk.
In the same way, during covid also everyone came together irrespective of one's religion.
Religion divides us.
Religion divides because of different beliefs and thoughts. They might be in contrast to each other's beliefs which can raise differences when there is no understanding.

Problems unite us through poverty, climate change and social injustice whereas religion divides us by creating a barrier, fostering exclusive and perpetuating stereotypes.
To overcome all these challenges we must focus on shared values, practice empathy and understanding and celebrate diversity.

In my opinion, 'problem and religion' both are totally dependent on each other.
For ex: The politicians rises the religious matters on which the people divided to protect their religions. Which creates problems. In this situation the problem divides the the people into religion.
