Hi.
Privatization will lead to Less Corruption, In today's world there is nexus between private companies and corruption, Corruption comes from moral, social and economic factors and has nothing to do with Private companies. Every transaction of property has black money involved which has increased the prices to so much that common man cannot get decent housing.
However we have seen that privatization can help reduce corruption in some of the industries like Power sector, there is a cost associated with it as companies are not working for social causes and profitability is there objective.
Corruption cannot be eradicated completely by privatisation as we have seen corruption in allotting the telecom licenses in 2G and coal fields to private companies.
Corruption can be reduced by socio economic development and reducing the direct interactions of government to people. Automating most of the transactions so there is minimal chances of exceptions. Stern punishment for the people caught and time bound court cases to be completed.
I am optimistic that India will move away from corruption as people are fed up and some stern actions will come over the course of next couple of decades.

In my opinion privatization is not solution to reduce corruption because corruption is due to mentality of the person and these are present in both private or government sector. If the person will have the mentality to involve in corruption then privatization will not help to reduce the corruption. If we really want to reduce the corruption we have to change the mentality of person.

Good afternoon dears.
Now we taking about privates leads to less corruption. Ya that is necessary thing.
Because corruptions are increased in day to day. Government inspect in every thing is impossible so private is we need. Drawback of this one is prices increase is not unavoidable thing like as a petrol prices. Corruption is not only buying and giving is the one way of encouraging the corruption. So every one promise to ours self not buying and giving the corruption.
Whoever involved in corruption that persons punished in severe in both government or private sector and dismissed their posts.

I think privatisation will not lead to less corruption in any way, it only did is change the mind set of people of thinking about self only, privatisation is some how cause of corruption directly or indirectly, it made people to think that only my growth is needed, no need to worry about others welfare. Then how we can get rid out of this so called corruption?
People should have think about others too, and government should take stern action to eradicate this problem like pass the janlokpal bill, strict rules in work areas, stationary action against people who violet the rule, and most important co-operate each other. Then no need of pvt. Anywhere. By doing these we can be safe and live freely in a uncorrupted and beautiful world.
Thank you!

Hey I totally agree with this. What exactly should be done is we have to work together and as said above that we all should change our mentality and set our mind to work honestly if we want a corruption free India along with the government.

Hello guys,
Well I do agree with some of my friends who have mentioned that privatization has no role in removing corruption. These are two different aspects in a way that privatization cannot make any efforts in removing corruption that has to come within ourselves and major part has to be played by the government in removing this. So according to me, I wouldn't agree to this.

Hello everybody.
I agree with the points and thoughts mentioned above. But in my point of view I feel that PPP is the best way to eliminate corruption from our country. When both sectors will work together it will be effective and efficient way to do work.

Yes, privatization leads to less corruption because of the fact that the Chairman or CEO of private corporates stick on to stringent rules as they have to gain dividends from the organization, unlike government companies. There are no owners in the government Companies so they will be too liberal hence privatization is necessary.

I think privatization is a solution but first we should change few rules over it means if a civil contractor own a contract so the final inspection always be in the hands of a civil engineer who is a govt employee and definitely he well get bribe so they have increase the cost of the project at the time of auction of the tender so we should think about it how can we remove this bribe system.
And there is no doubt that private company can give better facility than a govt sector because the pay off govt employees are fixed they will get the salary at the last of month either they have done the job properly or not but In private sector it is not like that if you have to get salary then you have to do the job properly.

Both are corrupted in their own ways. Take example of the company "Maytas" - reverse of "satyam". Was not a government body. But it was created on paper by satyam (Raju). Even private organization if they want to cheat they can by creative accounting, mixing up with auditors, top management, account and finance department. Corruption is everywhere, and needs to be controlled.
