I too support the view Said by Dheeru. It is practically possible only when full support from both central and state government like ease of registration and financing. Several foreign companies looking now India as their manufacturing house. I conclude it's possible practically in long term.

Yes. The dream of our PM is in right direction. In manufacturing sector. It require raw material at local level. It requires manpower at considerable cost and easily available. It requires transport facility available or to be made available. It requires govt's support as far as the tax and other implementation of law be not rigid. When The head of the ministry favour the manufacturer sector to make it hub. When all parameters are at satisfactory level. Then why it is not possible to be manufacturing hub at least in ASEA. It is fully practically possible.

Hi, this is Sameer,
According to me, making India a manufacturing hub would require a huge capital investment and we know that citizens of India are not good taxpayers, it has been estimated ministry of financial department that only 21% of people pays their respective taxes at right time. If thus happens so then how would Indian government get the capital to invest to make its manufacturing hub?

I believe India's public is highly price sensitive and that's why Indian manufacturer has to face a tough time from Chinese manufacturer because they provide similar types of products at cheaper rates. Making India a manufacturing hub might be difficult task because it requires huge investment with future growth options in that sector.

Our PM when he got elected for PM he announced that He will Make an India A Manufacturing HUB ie Make in India, And Today I saw Defence sector opening up and many companies are opening up their factories in India. Today I am very happy to see there is a competition in States to woo industry.
But TO welcome Industries we have to change laws and land laws still its pending in parliament and give tax incentives and made single window system and many changes.
I hope GOI will able to change from Service sector to Industry sector.

No, I don't see any merit in making India a manufacturing hub. I have logics. Firstly, manufacturing requires good infrastructure such as good highways, uninterrupted power supply and efficient railways. India lacks all these. Secondly, delayed approval of projects,
Hurdles in land acquisition and getting environmental clearance pose threats to India in becoming a manufacturing hub. Thirdly, India still lacks skilled manpower. Lastly, poor social infrastructure and strict labour laws don't pave the way for India being a manufacturing hub.

It can be a reality if everyone gives their hundred percent keeping their self-interest a bit aside. India has enormous resources, it has the most intelligent brains, large number of labourers available at cheaper rates. The only hurdle lying in India becoming a manufacturing giant is that we do not efficiently utilise resources and we lack discipline.
Maximum Indian, not all are never on time. Once they have been told to present at a given time, they will definitely come 15-20 minutes later. Without following a proper schedule we can never achieve success. One main important point us that we Indians lack interest. We don't want to do something new, follow some new ways to approach any problem what we want is that to do only things which have already been done in past.
No country can achieve progress without taking risks. We need to take initiatives and wait for some time for the outcome, once we get success, it will form new ways for us.
Thus PM's vision to make India as a manufacturing hub is definitely possible, once everyone starts contributing their share whole heartedly.

The reality is that we had taken the first step in becoming one of the powerhouses in manufacturing hub.
To all those who don't know anything about Indian military expenses. We use to spend more money on imports. We were the biggest importers of military related stuff.
Now we are trying to stand up on our own feet's. There are many examples but I will like to say ARJUN MARK TANK was biggest success and others to follow.
We recently exported metro coaches to Australia.
And many to follow!
Yes, we are developing country we need time.
We have to except that we are going on right direction just we need is patience, courage, determination and hard work.
We can overtake china in coming year at both economic and manufacturing hub.
