According to me, if sleeping dogs have some talent, then they should go to that particular field where they can show off their talent. Why sleeping!Tragedies, failures, unhappiness and sorrows are the inseperable part of lives. Once you come out to face the challenges of the world, these things are surely going to be their. It doesnt mean that you should become a sleeping dog. Morever its the resposibility of a person to be practical and moved on. According to me people in world discourage more than encouraging.

In this idiom the sleeping dogs are the inactive and lazy people. We are not fit for the survival unless we are active and energetic. So if give a chance to those people who are lazy in a company or political manifesto. There will be a mere destruction in the whole system. Because of their laziness they will not act in the positive way; they will not be capable of maintaining the system. So they must be given the post which will be best suited for their ability.

According to me,
This statement "let sleeping dogs lie" means here sleeping dogs refers to those peoples who are inactive and lazy, who don't want to do any work. They wants to get more and more output in less input. But I think those people needs to motivation and opportunities. Less opportunities makes people inactive and leads to discouragement. So we should encourage those peoples and provides opportunities to those people it can change their entire life.

I agree with all above statements and opinions. People who are inactive are also in two types, that is some inactive people are always in their own world, while other few ones have destructive mind also. People who are inactive or lazy, they also have strengths but it depends on each individuals that how they can grasp it and use it. So only I want to say that do not let ourselves and others in any certain difficult situations, try to keep our own mind calm.

Sleeping dogs, in my opinion, are the illusion our society like corruption, theft, illiteracy. We all must awaken the sleeping dog in order to guard our nation. A sleeping dog is of no help until he becomes aware of what's happening around him. In other words, we must literate people of our country and make them more aware of the happenings around the world. If the dog is awake then with his alertness and strength he will be able to do great good to society.

Yes it is right to motivate the people who don't show there interest in all field. But we can only give them idea what to do and what not do. It is not in our hand that to make them active. It is their responsibility to be in action. The people who are already habituated to spent time in sleep and lazy, it is very dificult for them to escape from their situation. It is only depend upon the strong will power of a person to show the right path.

Hello everyone!
I think the given sentence is not correct.
See, in the case of children, some of them are inactive in anything like studies, talking with their parallels, expressing something to parents. We don't let them do what they want to. We have to encourage & comfort them to face the situations.
We all know that"PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE". So, I don't agree with the statement. We don't let sleeping dogs lie.

"Let sleeping dogs lie" i.e. let the dispute between the two persons (sleeping dogs) be pacified, let them behave as if they forgot what happened (let them lie). This would be beneficial rather for both the parties.
As recalling the feud would lead to unnecessary stress/tension between them and the feud will not be ended up this way. So, I think one must let go the past matters in order to lead a happy, healthy life.

By sleeping dogs I mean people who have not been active in their life and have not achieved something for which they can be recognized. I believe its the moral duty of each individual to help such people by understanding them, the hidden talents in them, and to identify the reason for remaining inactive. It might happen that with a little of encouragement and support they can achieve something great in their lives.
