Patents are good not only for India, but for the whole world. Every individual who contributed something original to the society must get his due recognition whether in India or elsewhere. In country like India, where 50% of the population are still illiterate, we need to bring about awareness in the matters of patents. And each one of us need to know, how patent laws can affect a country and how we fought cases concerning patent rights of Basmati rice, neem and turmeric. Many of our natural resources or indigenous products of our farmers can be at stake, if we are unaware of patent rights. Hence India definitely needs a patent bill.

Hai friends, I strongly agree that patent bill is good for India because it is necessary to reserve the rights for a particular thing. If a country or a person have manufactured something new then he/she must get all the benefits of it. If a person manufacture something he must be known for his ability. Nobody remembers who made a mobile phone but everybody do remembers who made a telescope, it's just because of the generation gap.

Hello everyone,

I too feel patents bill is necessary and important to be introduced in India. See as every Writer, every brands, every company has his copyrights, then why an inventor should not have his own and to be recognized. An inventor work hard day and night to give a society of people useful and efficient things, So as a responsible citizen, we should encourage them through giving them an Honor and respect.

Patent in India should be judged accordingly by the Government. For ex- If Patent rights of a very important medicine is given away to any MNC then it won't be fruitful as the MNC will indulge itself in profit maximization and in country like India, where 40% population is in the chains of poverty, there will be no one but just 5% people who would afford its cost.

Patent bill is not only good but a very important tool for technical and biological development of a country. Talking about India Its people don't have enough exposure to the technology. Some hidden hidden talents remain hidden because of less sources available to them. Moreover they have to earn bread and butter for their livelihood too. So, Indian government should also some patents to help such people. But use of chemicals is contaminating our resources so there should be strict laws for that.

Hi Friends,

Patent law is really good for India.

India is a Young country filled with talented people who really want to do something creative, innovate and turn the tables on the west.

However one major hindrance in this field was the absence of a law protecting and recognizing the original work of the Indian inventors and innovators.

So the Patent Bill can be termed as the need of the hour which will protect and recognize the Indian creators and this in turn will provide enthusiasm to the tired research sector and will give Indian innovators something to live and aim for.

Patent Bill is really a good idea for Country like India as a developing Nation.

Where people who are born poor with good brains invent something good but the same is utilized by someone who is more rich and powerful from the guy who invented the same. Sometimes the Ideas are used on Negative approaches which are many times resulting a loss to the Countries Economy.

Patent Bill can stop this kind of Negative approaches and help in implementing the ideas on a good hope, good way they are made for resulting to a name and fame to the inventor of the Idea.

I agree that patented is good but there is a limit for eg. Some innovation of medicine if he is patented then according his mind he will increase the price to pharma company ultimately the price of the treatment also increase. So those who is poor will be effected in that thing government want to take decision to takle this problem, for eg. Adalaphline for acne.

Patent bill is certainly good for India because it is a developing country needs to increase the number of researches and developments. This bill will certainly ensure security of the innovations of various institutions and research centers thereby encouraging more number of researches. As such India is well behind in R&D sector spending less than 1% of its GDP in it. So if the number of researches will be more then the govt will be bound to spend more and this will change our R&D scenario completely.
