Yes the patent bill might be good to country & the world as well but it has several side-effects on the developing nations. Developing nations lack funds 2 carry out research on their traditional knowledge. Developed nation with their capital research traditional knowledge of a developing nation & then commercially exploit it by taking a patent based on that traditional knowledge.

Yes I think that Patent bill is good in India. Patent is basically for the protection of invention and methods of an individual as well as it encourage our society. So it is great step to make a country develop.

Hello everyone,
As we know that patents is a form of intellectual property and its granted to those inventor who invents any new, non obious and should have industrial application. Because of patents we gets incentives to Indian pharma company, better living statndards, good healthy competition amongs industry and more innovatives products comes into markets but at same time its cost lives because anything which is under patent do costly and we are not enogh rich to buy the produt so what I meant it having disadvantages also like if do patent on life saving drugs then definetly it will cost to poor or need person. Finally at the end its all depends on inventors percepton.

Hi friends.
Through patent law, the inventor will have a recognition and right over his product. So, this inspires them and also many people to invent something useful. Patents are good not only for India, but for the whole world. Every individual who contributed something original to the society must get his due recognition whether in India or elsewhere. In country like India, where 50% of the population are still illiterate, we need to bring about awareness in the matters of patents. And each one of us need to know, how patent laws can affect a country and how we fought cases concerning patent rights of Basmati rice, neem and turmeric. Many of our natural resources or indigenous products of our farmers can be at stake, if we are unaware of patent rights.

Positives:
1. Safety against illegal and unauthorized use of a technology, an idea or a natural resource.
2. Source of inspiration, motivation and pride to the inventors to keep on doing the good work besides encouraging young innovators and others in R&D.
Negatives:
1. Should not be done of FMCGs and things which influence our society.
2. Patent of natural resources should be given with restrictions.
3. It leads to increase in production costs in most of the cases.

First of all we have to know with what patent bill deals with, this bill makes mandatory to patent all new innovation generated by public funded research. Scientist themselves are not happy over this bill. This will involve a huge amount of paperwork and moreover this bill is not in the interest of the public, if public research is sold to company that price thier product very high then people will end up paying double amount. There is also concern that large amount of exchequer will be lost because patenting in itself is very costly process.

Hi friends, according to me patents bill is good for India as I know we any researcher produces his research paper for development than credit must be given to the that researcher so there comes a great confident in all researcher to do the research in all area. By which our country growth is on high rate. Its another benefits is on commercialization area. If company products patent bill is totally related to company and there is no any type of tax than it sold to the consumer at lesser price. So these are area where patent bill is good.

Patent in India should be judged accordingly by the Government. For ex- If Patent rights of a very important medicine is given away to any MNC then it won't be fruitful as the MNC will indulge itself in profit maximization and in country like India, where 40% population is in the chains of poverty, there will be no one but just 5% people who would afford its cost.

Yes patent bill is a good move because it does just to the inventor rather than the firm. In-fact the inventor gets due credit to his invention which not only leads to his own development but also nation.
