Well i surely think that swapping Terrorists for Hostages is an Encouragement to Plane-Hijackers so the only way we can stop this is first and formost prompt action must be taken to execute these terrorist unlike Kasab who is enjoyin our hindu tradition of "Atithi devo bhava". If immediate action is taken against these terrorist and give them capital punishment these terrorist will have nothing to swap. Secondly tight security should be maintained not only in the ground but also in the air so that such activities cannot take place

Hi all.
We all know about the Kandahar hijacking of Indian airlines flight 814. It was in a flight from Tribhuvan airport of Kadmandu to Delhi. It was hijacked by a team of terrorists of Harkat-ul-Mujahideen. And after 7 days of negotiation Indian government released 3 terrorists who was in jail in exchange of 178 passengers. In my opinion this type of swapping will encourage the terrorists to do more plane hijacking. For preventing this, as my friend told we must increase the security and checking before one get into the plane.

I totaly agree with the fact that Swapping Terrorists for Hostages an Encouragement to Plane-Hijackers the reason is that our government cannot take the risk of so many lives just because of 1 terrorist its a big thing to them.Rather they can negotiate with the terrorists about it and should any how get them to now that wat they are doing is wrong or they can be trapped in an circumstances so that they definitely have to work according to the government, this need proper planning and should be dealt with great shrewdness.

Yes, it is. If we swap the terrorists for the hostages. It will surely be an encouragement and they will continue to do so. What we need is a strict law against terrorism. No one should be kept alive in the prison. They have no right to live here. So if we do so we can avoid such situations.
The terrorists are actually mocking with the Indian government. They know somehow we will surrender to them for the hostages. If we take some serious action against terrorism no one will ever dare to do this again.

I don't quiet agree with suman. The reason why ajmal kasab was taken and reatined in the cusotdy for so long because pakistan wants proof that terrorism is evolving form their soil. If terrorists are hanged to death as soon as they are caught then India will not be able to accumulate much evidence against pakistan. And until that these high jacking issues will keep popping up because India has not been able to put sufficient amount of pressure on pakistan in the international arena.

Hi i am vikram singh shekhawat, and i would like to initiate this group discussion and i am not in support of terrorist exchange with the hostages, due to our soft policies towards these kind of activities, its now like a tradition in our country.
We must be harsh like russians as they don't surrender so easily, and even the swapping of terrorists has increased the number of hijackings considerably as it is the easiest way to get through their demands.

yes i universly agree with saurav agarwal, becausy we dont have strict lows and only for this lacking terrorists taking the adevantage. if we would have punished them on the spot they would have not done it. if some one comes under the doc and found gulty we should cut their all boddy parts and the person who is victim he should struggle fore death and again people who are involved in such groups they will not dear. and ther might be such happnings.

I thinks the kind of policy which India has adopted againt terrorism and terrorist is not working properly. India needs quick judgement and hang all terrorists as sonn as they are found guilty not like kasab's case. He is still enjoying even after killing hundred's of innocents. If no terrorists are in custody then the question of swapping does'nt arise. India needs to change thier policies, only then after we can hope of decrease in such activities.

Hello my friends.
It is for sure that releasing militants in exchange of hostages will definitely encourage the hijackers. As we all know that almost every terrorist attack happens for a particular demand. Terrorist attack somewhere and take innocent people hostage and ask the government to meet their demands. So if govt agrees to accept their demands then attackers will be encouraged and will attempt more terrorist attacks for their other demands.

Releasing terrorist for the hostages is often regarded as a weakness of the government but It is not so.
It is the prime responsibility of government to safeguard its citizen and in order to ensure their safety releasing the terrorists can be a choice but not the only choice.
Government should plan a trap so that it could rescue its hostages first and then deal with the terrorists if possible.
