Is Social Media Actually Connecting People?

Today we are discussing about is social media is actually connecting people or not.

We can see this topic in two point of view. One of the view is, social media is actually providing various platforms to connect people from different areas. We can see that there are platforms like google meet, zoom, whatsapp call etc.

These platforms are actually connecting people for different areas. For example, imagine a parent from India can connect their children in America through these platforms whenever they needed.

In other point of view, we can see that, nowadays, so much people are addicted to social media and most of them are wasting their chance to meet people and communicate with them. They are spending their time in social media.

Yes, social media really connecting us. Now we can talk with anyone in this world no need to go here and there. It all just possible by the internet. But most of the people using social media very badly like bullying, cybercrime, blackmail, sharing other personal photos, hacking personal details etc. So, social media is good as well as bad just like a coin has two sides. It is up to us how do we use it, that can be for betterment or destruction.

In short, I can say that yes, social media really connecting us, example the early time I was not able to talk with my villagers and my friends but now with the use of social media I can talk with them easily. We must use social media for our betterment, not for destruction.

Social media do connect people living in different geographical area and help them to know the current scenario of that place within a fraction of time.

Nowadays, it has become a form of contacting our known ones at any time and from any corner of the world.

Though social media has gifted us with so much of its positive attributes, it also has a certain negative impact as well.

1) Fake news or rumours spread rapidly life forest fire which can hamper the life of an individual.

2) After the introduction of AI, social media has become a dangerous place to showcase yourself, as everyone is keeping an eye on you through the dark web.

3) Social media has created so much impact on our youth, which results in vandalism in one country eg Nepal.

In my opinion, social media helps to gather people around and they unitedly helping people who are in great need. Could all of you think that without social media can we all survive through tough situations like corona, and flood? It helps to pass the message more quickly like anything else, maybe other devices would do but it's handy and spread it more quickly. It helps us to come over from the toughest situations but at the same time, the impact that this made on children is not ignorable. They've all they needed handier so they cannot much creative and it may be easy to communicate with one who's far away from you, but what about the one who's with us all day long? I think we're all missing that connection. Everything is good when we know the limits.

In my opinion, the social media platform is very useful to us, because we can use it, learn through it and connect with people also. We can connect to people where we can share the knowledge with each other, and also we can make very good relations with them, and we can share our opinion, and we can listen to their opinion by connecting with them. Connecting with them also helps our career growth. We can connect to people through platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, etc.

Connecting with them through these platforms makes our work so easy. Connecting with social media offers job purpose and other related purposes, making it very useful to us. So, in my point of view, social media makes a very good connection between people, which helps a lot.

In my thoughts, social media is a very good innovation in which country the whole world reduces distances. Help people know each other understand their cultural customs and traditions from different parts of the world, what's happening in different parts of the world what innovations are happening what social and political drama happening. Also, help in raising issues related to their place. I found it very useful but on the other hand, it has some bad aspects also like fraud abuse and the main important issue I found countries like the USA and other European countries like China try to push their narrative to a poor country and affect their internal politic which is the worst thing I found, they use it as a tool.

In my point of view, the answer to this question is a big no. Yes, it can be said that social media has helped to know other people, be friends with. But the term connecting is actually not working these days. Anytime and Everywhere people are out with the cellphones to click picture and uploading as soon as possible. We can say marketing of social media has grown rapidly but this is a deep truth that it can never connect people in an actual basis because nowadays, people are eager to show and know how much they are happy and comparing there happiness with others. In this manner they are connected but it can never be like the old school friendship where there was no phones in hand and still we are connected in every levels all the time.

Yes, social media is connecting with those who are living out of the physical networks (out of the region).
Social media is connecting people no doubt but the people who are addicted to this want just validation from social media for every single moment of, life and this is even matter or not because of this they do not mostly care about their physical relationships.

For eg; is there any event in the family that from age 10 to 80 years people would be busy with their social sites or unwanted scrolling but will not talk to their surrounding people?

So the conclusion is: Yes, no doubt social sites are connecting people but only those who are far away from social sites are not connecting them who are actually with them.

But the overall trend and actual fact is Social Media is connecting people those who stay far from you and isolating from your family or who are close to you.
