Hello everyone.

Social media creates both positive and negative impacts. Social media connectivity impact only depends on how we use it in the right manner and how to utilise this technology platform, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

1) The positive side of social connectivity is updating any information, experience and ideas to global people through social media. Ex: Using LinkedIn to continuously update our knowledge, experience and ideas, it's helpful to connect with industry experts and also get an internship or job offer.

2) The other side of social connectivity is creating a fake trust relationship (only extending our circle, not going deeper), creating over mobile usage, reducing real-time face-to-face interaction and creating loneliness. Even though many people connect online, they feel lonely in real life.

Thank you.

Hello All,

Good Evening,

My name is Pranav Purohit.

Here, I am discussing about social media is that social media is connecting people or not.

My point about social media is that everything has its pros and cons. It depends on how people use this. People use social media not only for seeing reels or stories but also for business or entertainment purposes and to earn income as well. People earn huge amounts from Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and through social media, people get connected with others worldwide if they are away from people or in other countries.

But anything access in life is poison and social media is the same in this because there are chances for cyber crimes and our information and data will be hacked so we need to take care of our breaches.

It depends on how we use it. We should be aware of how to use social media.

Thank you.

Social media has become a very important part of everyone's lives. It is quite helpful to the adults nowadays. As nobody is really interested in reading the news papers but when the news is spread through social media each one of them reads about it and it helps them know what is actually going on. Also, They can connect to their close one's staying away from them through social media and can share each others lives through it. But simultaneously, it is harmful for the now growing kids as they tend to spend more time on social media than actually meeting people or friends around them. The kids do not want to actually go out and play games but rather spend time in social media by uploading content. This could be leading to connections online only for the sake of having a connection. Because, Children miss out on the real fun in the outside world.

According to me, social apps help to connect people in so many ways, and they are gaining so much knowledge about society, about business to improve their skills etc. People can connect with anyone through social applications like Facebook, Instagram, etc. They are also proving themselves by showing their dance, singing, arts, etc. By doing this so many people also want to improve their skills and perform his/her talents in these social apps.

Social apps also help to communicate with anyone where they are in this world to make new friends we can chat with them and call. It helps to communicate our skills through social media. And by this social media, we can watch what happens in our society. We can watch news channels and accidents in our society.

Thanks for this opportunity, and this is my opinion about social media is connecting people.

No, Social media is not connecting people. It distances people from each other.

Even though social media like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter enable us to connect with people from all around the world, it doesn't ensure trust. It never equals the person we meet in person and get to know. My question is, "How could you trust the person virtually? What if they pretend to be good? Where is the safety while we are evolving in a world full of cybercrimes, etc".

Yes, Social media has become a major part of our lives, which makes our lives miserable without our knowledge. How could you have a real feel when you contact the people with eyes while you have a conversation in a video call? Instant messages don't give you the same feeling as handwritten letters from your loved ones.

There are many alternatives, but people still choose the instant way.

No,

In my opinion, the social media is good and quite useful if used rightly. But people nowadays, majorly the youth have been so addicted to the social media that they are rather wasting a lot of their useful time on it rather than just using it to get more information. I have myself seen so many people actively using social media but they lack the real communication skills in actual life. This thing people are not realizing these days but they are going to regret it later. So, it should be only used as a source to connect and meet new people across the globe and being a bit active socially and not as something on which people should waste their productive time scrolling the news feed. Everyone should be more active in real life learning new things and making their day more productive rather than being glued to their screens all day.

As you said, There are lot of pros and cons to using social media,

I'm going with the positive side by using social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter we can connect with the people whom we know in real time it makes our relationship more strong. We get the information within a fraction of a second by using social media platforms.

And the other side of the coin, it has times we lose the connection due to some reasons, and we get invalid or fake information. Most of the cyber crimes are happening by using social media platforms by clicking links and saying OTPs to unknown candidates. Sometimes we spend an of time on social media platforms as a result of this we don't get time to our family, our loved ones and our parents and children.

So, by using this platform we must have care, responsibility and balanced time.

To be honest, I agree with this statement.

Yes, it helps many people who are so far from their parents, friends and loved ones; this is the only way to connect with them regularly.
Some of them might be using this social media platform to connect with their known ones and keep them updated by posting about their personal life. Even if it helps them to access their people, how they are doing and all.

If anything, having an advantage obviously it would have disadvantages also.
*Due to a network issue, we couldn't connect with our loved ones regularly.
* If you post anything on any social media, it might be used by another person wrongly.
* Sometimes, our social media account will be led to hack by hackers.
I can conclude this by saying, it helps us to get connected with our people, but it won't feel good as we talk or meet in person.

Hello everyone.

In my point of view, social media is both connecting people and also making them apart at the same time. Social media has many benefits we can connect with people, we can access information and business purposes it has many benefits. Through social media, we can connect with people who are far from us, but we are getting apart from the people who are staying with us.

For example, we say good morning or goodnight to the people who are far from us. But we never say good morning to our family members. And also, in our childhood, we just played games with our friends or cousins. But in today's generation, children always play video games or watch unnecessary things on social media. So, I suggest using social media for limited-only purposes, instead of scrolling reels, go and spend your time with your family members.

According to me, the given statement is partially correct because social media has evolved much more than earlier and is widely available throughout, the good thing is it connects people, we can stay in touch with all our well wihers, family etc and easyliy share our opinions, life happenings, emotions with them but on the other side their is a mark on this phenomenon that people who once used to meet regularly arent prioritizing physical meetups today as they can convey everything they want through internet.

Above everything, there will always be a heart out of satisfaction when you truly interact with others in a traditional way, which is now getting faded due to excessive use of social media.

Human emotions are losing their natural regulations, and the values are getting demoted so rapidly.

This is just my personal opinion.
