Is Social Media Actually Connecting People?

Yes, in today's time, social media is connecting people. It is the simplest and easiest way to interact with people. It saves time and has replaced many traditional methods of communication. On social sites, people interact with each other and learn more about others with the way of interaction.

As far as my opinion is concerned social media is connecting people. Even though people who stay in different countries can easily get connected to their friends, relatives etc. Through social media. Social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter create a space where people share their lives, interests and thoughts with other people. It allows us to communicate, share our experiences and support each other regardless of the distance. It also helps to find new communities and build relationships. So, yeah social media helps to connect with people in many ways.

Social Media is a very good platform to connect and communicate with people. We can be in touch with people more efficiently. It even helps to increase the marketing sector, thus, bringing people closer. But I feel like connection is different than bonding. Because when communication is one click away, the desire to meet up decreases. Yes, Social Media is connecting people, but not strengthening relationships.

Social media is a broad term which includes networking in and around the world through the internet. We can connect to the people anywhere around the world. Through social media platforms we get to know about the lifestyle trends, the industry trends and we get ourself updated by it. Only because of social media it is possible to spread positive awareness, to promote brand and small businesses and some people also get jobs by creating content in social media platforms.

Atlast, I want to state that if it having positive point it also have negative point.

So, we should use it carefully and only for positive things.

Some social media platforms which we use daily is Instagram and linkedin.

My take on this is Ofcourse, social media helps in connecting with people and breaking the geographical barriers, allowing people to connect with individuals worldwide.
Encouraging in international friendships and cultural exchange.

Online communities form around shared interests, hobbies, or causes providing a sense of support.
And platforms like LinkedIn helps in connecting with the industry professionals, finding career opportunities, and knowledge sharing.

And the otherside of the Social media have issues like cyberbullying, online harassments causing emotional harm to the people.

So, yes social media does connect people, and we must acknowledge the negatives as well.

Nowadays, it has become a form of contacting our known ones at any time and from any corner of the world.

Though social media has gifted us with so much of its positive attributes, it also has a certain negative impact as well.

1) Fake news or rumours spread rapidly life forest fire which can hamper the life of an individual.

2) After the introduction of AI, social media has become a dangerous place to showcase yourself, as everyone is keeping an eye on you through the dark web.

3) Social media has created so much impact on our youth, which results in vandalism in one country eg Nepal.

Nowadays, social media has become an unavoidable part of our lives. And of course, we can connect to our loved ones without a feeling of missing. But certainly, there are many demerits; the overusage of social media leads to loss of memory power in every one of us. We spend too much time on social media and are not bothered about our surroundings.

To be honest, I agree with this statement.

Yes, it helps many people who are so far from their parents, friends and loved ones; this is the only way to connect with them regularly.
Some of them might be using this social media platform to connect with their known ones and keep them updated by posting about their personal life. Even if it helps them to access their people, how they are doing and all.

If anything, having an advantage obviously it would have disadvantages also.
*Due to a network issue, we couldn't connect with our loved ones regularly.
* If you post anything on any social media, it might be used by another person wrongly.
* Sometimes, our social media account will be led to hack by hackers.
I can conclude this by saying, it helps us to get connected with our people, but it won't feel good as we talk or meet in person.

The physical distance between our dearest ones is covered due to social media even though we can't touch them but we can have a feeling that they are around us. Some people are using it in a good way for promoting their products and doing business.
