In the present time, social media is not only a general thing but also a significant platform where we connect to the whole world easily. There, we can share our best ideas and learn easily unlimited things which will full-fil our requirements as our wish, And we can also help to other needy people.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to start the discussion, so the given topic to us is "Is social media actually connecting people" in my view, social media is a platform where we can easily connect with people easily if the people are living in other countries. And social media connect to us what's going on in the world through the news. And we have many websites we can easily learn new things. But many young children is addicted to social media. They spend so much time on social media is absolutely is bad for health and eyes also.

So my conclusion is social media is good if you are use in a limited way. It is completely depends on the people.

In my opinion, social media is actually connecting people. We can connect with people around the globe. It also gives a chance to connect people who all are having the same perspective about a particular subject.

We all have heard the quote called 'Together we stand we can overcome anything', Suppose if a person needs a Huge amount of money for his/her medical treatment, all the people across the world can help that person to raise funds for his/her treatment. With the help of Social media, it has become applicable.

The basic idea of social media is to connect people around the world and create an interface to communicate where distance and time are not at all a barrier. Yes social media is connecting people to people who are far but disconnecting the people around them. Because people might spend.

Hours on it without knowing the time and there'll be no time left to spend with the family at the end of the day. The usage of it was actually found during lockdown where it helped us know the updates of the world by just sitting at home. But the way people use it leads to a few drawbacks and creates negative thoughts about social media. The purpose of introducing social media was to a positive thought but we are overusing, misusing and creating a negative impact on it. Using it in a wise manner can make your near and far relations withstand forever.

I conclude that the purpose of social media is to connect people but it depends on the usage of individuals.

The more we use it to connect to people who are far we must make sure that we are not losing the relationships with the people around us.

Yes, I think Social media is connecting people. It has become a powerful tool for us to get connected to each other without any physical barriers. It has also played a helping role in connecting people with their necessities, (Example-Calling an ambulance in case of an emergency, Online shopping etc).

Yeah, It is connecting the people. The main purpose of social media is only to connect people and share information quickly. We can talk with a person who is at the other end of the world, through social media. But unfortunately, nowadays new generation kids are very much addicted to social media that they cannot spend time with their family members. And people blindly forward the information which is coming from the other person without knowing whether it is true or false.

When you say social media, Everyone thinks that social media is just for entertainment, To connect with old friends far away, To upload photos, etc. But, Many don't know that social media can also be used to gain knowledge. There is no limit to learning; You have abundant information on social sites. You can choose in which field you want to improve.

Nowadays, The younger generation has got addicted to social sites. They spend hours together, wasting their precious time. And their health is also get affected, Due to excessive usage. There are many benefits than disadvantages, But it completely depends on the user.

What generally comes in our mind when we talk about social media is; That everyone in the family is busy in their phones and hardly spends times like it used to in earlier times. Those talks, that cosiness and that laughter. Obviously, exceptions are always there. But it is separating families. Taking away that natural motherhood and that care of fathers too. And rushing people of any age towards validity from society. The same society, that we know before becoming developed in critical thinking, started going back in the dark ages.

Social media should be a platform to represent your views rather than just finding your old friends on it. The views, are not guided by any propaganda but erupted from your own experiences and there is the audience, to critically analyse the same with empathy and there is space in the heads of view presenter to modify the same. It could be a platform of cognitive growth, moral growth and financial growth if it is learnt from individual experiences. But for that experiences should be based on our own personal observations. So that, we may be able to discuss problems like climate change and gender equality (that women do not belong to the kitchen only and men to workplaces). Not only eager to discuss but more to find solutions.

According to me, social apps help to connect people in so many ways, and they are gaining so much knowledge about society, about business to improve their skills etc. People can connect with anyone through social applications like Facebook, Instagram, etc. They are also proving themselves by showing their dance, singing, arts, etc. By doing this so many people also want to improve their skills and perform his/her talents in these social apps.

Social apps also help to communicate with anyone where they are in this world to make new friends we can chat with them and call. It helps to communicate our skills through social media. And by this social media, we can watch what happens in our society. We can watch news channels and accidents in our society.

I think yes, Social media is actually connecting people. Because it is the only way to connect with our friends who are far away from us. And in the case when you live far from your family social media provides you to connect with them because previously your family is not able to see how you sustain your life.
