In my opinion, social media can do both like connecting new people and disconnecting remaining people like family, friends etc.

Nowadays all are using social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. These apps are connecting new people.

And making new friends. It is a good thing and at a time it has so many disadvantages like so many people addicted to social media and neglecting their families, friends etc.

Social media helps us to communicate with long-distance people and make new friends and know about things happening around the world.

Finally, I conclude that social media helps us to connect with people and also it leads to neglecting our own family members who are living with us.

The name social media itself means a medium to connect people socially. Yes, indeed it is connecting people, may it be connecting it with our family and friends or making new friends. You can share your memories with your near and dear ones. However, there are some negative elements as well which make us doubt the usefulness of these platforms.

a) That all children who work in another place not on birthplace are connected to their family, and relations through social media.
b) for example- students who are preparing for exams don't talk to their family members and close ones but they are in touch through WhatsApp (a social media platform), they knew everything about others through social media platforms because they put stories and all...
c)All who are working don't have time to contact daily to everyone but they have touched through social media.
d)All seniors who are placed remain in touch with social media platforms and help juniors and if any student gets placed in the same company then they contact through social media.
e) We can communicate with unknown HR executives by finding out on various social media platforms.
