Social Media connects people but makes distance, no one is real in this social media world all act fake, there are high chances of fraud people are not real a person's name is abc can create a fake id and be there is it we are connecting or we are just showing fake connection here in social world.

Social media is a platform, how a person uses it depends on it but in my point of it connects people from one state to another state also country to country. Also, there is a rapid growth in the uses of social media, through which they can connect peoples.

For example LinkedIn where millions of people connect through this there interest area where they can get opportunities. Most of them jobs through connecting with people from other states which was quite amazing. Also in my point of view, social media have a big impact on to connecting people.

I like to rely on both yes and no because social media is actually connecting people using social media apps and people able to communicate with their loved ones or family who are located out of the region.

But at the same time, It creates a gap between the people inside their region for ex in meetups people often use mobiles instead of physical interaction but it not fit for all cases.

Some of the people are aware of these threats.

So, In conclusion, social media is connecting people. And the people who are using social media should be aware of it.

I give my opinion on both sides because on one side it connects people who are living far away from you and you can be present in touch with them on the side it's only connecting people who are living far away but disconnecting people who are living near to you so interpersonal interaction and connection will not develop with near ones so, as of my opinion it's a two-way tool.

I want to start off by presenting a question that there are always two sides to a coin, right?

So although it does connect people on a superficial level, it does more harm than good if not used correctly. For adults, it is a medium of communication, building new connections, and discovering different things. But, is it equally important for teenagers too? The answer would be no.

Social media is a bane disguised in the form of a boon. It leads to insecurity, peer pressure, anxiety, and fear of missing out among teens and creates a generation gap among them. They try to impersonate adults whom they like without giving it a second thought, all for public attention and to look cool and trendy. But little do they realise, how harmful it is going to be for them. Teens spend hours every day doing nothing productive but consuming reels, short videos which come one of another as you keep on scrolling through them.

Based on our interests, platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube will keep on giving us similar content that we like and we endlessly consume them, thus falling into an endless loop of depression and lack of productivity makes them dull. Therefore, it is entirely on ourselves how we utilize this tool. If used wisely, it can open new doors of opportunities but misuse of it can become a trap that robs us of our time, self-worth, and peace of mind. Remember, technology is a servant, not a master—let's use it to empower ourselves, not enslave us.

I think in my opinion social media certainly helps us to connect with different kinds of people in all over the world. The advantage of social media is:

Hi! In my opinion, Social media has both good and bad things. It depends on how we use social media is actually has more information, but we don't use it correctly.

Some people use it for bad things like reels scrolling and watching unnecessary videos.

According to me. YES, social media is connecting with people in terms of sharing their thoughts, information with their parents, friends, people who are staying in the abroad, and it connects with different people persons like users of Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Twitter and many platforms. I think it helps in preparing competitive exams, now a days it is easy for everyone has a assessble to the different courses they want to prepare, which are available in YouTube, and even subject classes are also available, so we can listen to these classes wherever we want.

As we all know that a coin has two sides, similarly, in this topic, we also have positive and negative impacts of social media.

The positive side is, users of LinkedIn may connect directly with managers of the company so that, we can interact them and likewise, their are good opportunities in searching for jobs, connecting with industry managers, HR's, etc.

Negative side are, people using social media platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube not for educational purposes, they are using it for to do the timepass, and wasting of their valuable time.

No, I don’t think social media is truly connecting people today.

While it’s true that platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or X help us stay in touch and even make new friends across the globe, the reality is quite different for most users. Around 90% of what we see online is filtered or exaggerated — people often showcase only their best moments or even a completely fake version of themselves. This constant comparison leads to feelings of anxiety, loneliness, and even depression.

Today, we see a strange situation — even when four or five friends sit together in the same room, instead of talking or sharing moments, everyone is busy scrolling through their phones. That’s not a real connection; that’s isolation behind screens.

However, I do believe social media has potential — for people who know how to use it wisely. It can be a valuable tool for building meaningful connections, learning from others, or collaborating internationally. But at present, most people use it for validation rather than communication. So, for now, I would say social media is connecting devices, not hearts.
