Is Reservation in Higher Education Only Alternative for Social Equality?

People are talking about equality. Where is the equality when Dalits are tortured and justice is denied to them, see the condition of SC/ST and OBC people in U.P, Bihar, Haryana and other states. One of my friend's mother didn't allowed a SC guy to enter in her house, see how the khap panchayat people treat with SC/ST/OBC.

In U.P, Bihar and some other states can you think of asking a Brahmin person to allow his daughter to marry a SC/ST. He will prefer to kill his daughter before that. N people are still talking about equality. Just because SC/ST people gets 22% of your seats general people are protesting.

Have you ever thought that how an SC/ST guys feels when he is treated as untouchable. If the reservation system is removed then the condition of these SC/ST and OBC people will deteriorate more. With the help of these reservation system at least these people are allowed to study. With the removal of this system these people will be neglected and the literacy rate will drop drastically. Reservation shall remain until the upper caste people treats the lower caste equally.

My opinion is reservation is helping the poor students, but our country giving economically developed people.

In olden days there was a poor person, untouchability that way B. R. Ambedkar, he was to. See that situation. So he was to ask our leaders for ten years development the SC/ST. That it was continuously developing. Now where is the untouchability people SC/ST was developed.

Finally, I conclude that. Reservations are only for talent, not four castes like SC/ST.

Yes, reservation is the main thing for India's backward.

Because of reservation, the merit student lost their jobs. And they go out of India for a job so India is losing talented peoples.

Because of Indian talented people, other countries are developed and India is in backwards than those countries.

The main objective of the reservation was to remove social discrimination amongst the people which was highly present in our society before the Independence so that the people who were socially and economically deprived can come forward and be the part of our society.

When this was implemented Reservation was really needed at that time for 'Dalit' people. Now the scenario has been changed there are so many general people who they don't have much money to get their proper education and they are not economically rich, and there are several people who belong to SC/ST category are financially rich and have high Lifestyle and still they are getting the benefits of reservation, so for them which kind of reservation is needed and why not the general people who are victims of poverty, reservation is needed for them.

But still reservation should not be completed vanished, because casteism is still present in villages of India and a major part of SC/ST categories are still not strong economically and they have to be humiliated. So if the reservation will not be provided to them, they can never come forward in our society and will have to face social discrimination.

The people who should have got the benefits of this reservation didn't get. Only a specific community of this categories are misusing it. So, there is a need of modifications of this reservation system and should start the elimination from SC/ST people who has already taken the benefits of it and have become economically rich and should be declared creamy layer, so that who really need of reservation can get it.

Suppose in an exam the cutoff for general candidate is 400/600 and for backward castes is 150-200. Now the student from general category who secured 300 will be rejected but the other category student who secured 180 or 220 is welcome.

But now a question arises "Were the answer sheets of general and backward castes checked in different ways?" NO. Then why such unfair distribution of seats? And, who is more able-One who obtained 300 or one who obtained 180 or 120?

Exam is a platform to identify one's capability. Everyone should be enthusiastic to succeed with his own efforts, not with external assistance.

People say that very few SC/ST have become the prime minister of India till now?but the one who is selected as the prime minister is not checked on the basis of his family background, but tested on the basis of his ability to handle the nation effectively.

Therefore I feel that if SC and ST want to succeed, they must try their level best just like the general students do and should not be dependent on reservation.

As the my point of view reservation is only valid for those who are financially weak to take good education.

Because it is not necessary that every reserved candidate doesn't have the weak family background.

We all humans have the same kind of brain. So which kind of reservation they need?

Reservation not applied by the categories basis in any kind of competition exams or jobs.

Reservation is only problem that people are facing.

Reservation divides the society into parts they are who had reserved and who had not reserved.

Reserved persons are enjoying life in the government sector and living a luxurious life.

Whereas not reserved people are working hard in private companies and living a middle class or poor life.

So, that the reservations had to be removed soon.

Reservation is better to give according to their income. In nowadays by reservation name they are getting jobs and enjoying there. They will study in private colleges and they applied for reservation post. In the case of poor people, they don't have money to join in private colleges. Nowadays no one is joining in govt colleges due to lack of teaching. So it better to give reservation according to their income.

I agree with all but in my view the reservation is not need for casts. It is need for poor students. For example I have 2 friends one is reservation candidate other one has no reservation. In the EMCET exam reservation student get 21 marks and non reservation student get 39 marks. Reservation student is selected but non reservation is not selected. But both the students are come under below middle class families.

So in my point of view education depend upon talent not on reservation.

Reservation only given to those who are really poor not to the caste wise.
