Is Reservation in Higher Education Only Alternative for Social Equality?

Hai, this is Anji.

I think reservation is not necessary in education because there is a lot of student's who are directly and indirectly affected in their studies, the govt will support the backward classes offering scholarships, fee reimbursement but not by seat allocation.

Reservation in higher education only alternative for social equality, I think that the system of reservation which is in India is sometimes may not necessarily cause the, suppose the student who came from the poor background but he not able to pay the fees for particular higher education because of financial problems in this situation the loss of knowledge of that student who have really appropriate for it so I think the reservation depends upon the quality of that student not cast of that student hence by this way the students who have the knowledge a lot of which is really required for developing India or their carrier so reservation depends on skill of student.

In my point of view reservation given only that person, who really need a reservation.

Reservation must be given only a financial condition basis, not for a cast basis.

Because of reservation knowledgeable person go back compared to an unknowledgeable person, in our education system need to totally remove reservation so that good knowledgeable person goes to right Place.

Education is the ultimate weapon to take away the remnants of a caste based society. If it itself discriminates based on caste then that sprouts the wrong idea in mind of individuals. Education must be made cheaper and of more quality so that the deserving students would never miss their chance for education but also make sure that the quality of education is not compromised at any costs.

Reservation based on caste creates new forms of discriminations as the deserving are denied their chances and also create a sense of injustice in them simultaneously creating a feeling of inferiority in the minds of students backed with reservation. So if at all reservations are given they should be based on income. What is more needed is proper awareness about the importance of education and aspirational thinking from a young age itself.

Because of this system, talented people are ignored and undeserved people get a job. It creates many dissatisfactions among talented people choose wrong way like terrorism, crime, legal-illegal work and some talented people use their talent for the progress of other countries called the brain drain.

Our GD topic is reservation in India.

We know that India is a developing and progressive country. So the reservation should not allow our country. Many developing countries like America China, there is no caste system there. So reservation in India is very harmful to us. And we should abolish this evil and also shall abolish untouchability.

The reservation system was introduced by Dr BR Ambedkar to provide equal opportunity and works for lower caste people.

But in present time reservation is not required because due to reservation system talented person not getting better opportunity and they are going abroad.

And other countries are taking advantage of it.

Due to reservation India is not growing perfectly.

In my opinion, reservation should be based on economic condition, people who are facing economic problem he should be given reservation in education or other fields.

Education is very important to everyone. Reservation is one thing that was created earlier to bring out the equality in our society but this hasn't accomplished till date. In many parts of country, still untouchability and other evil things are being practiced. Number of seats however must be decreased that are on caste basis and more seats should be reseved on economical basis so that poor people can also get opportunities.

Reservation on caste basis can't be removed till the date every Hindu is treated like Hindu. There should not be any division of caste! Everyone must have one identity.

According to my perception.

Reservation is not a way out to equality instead it will lead to social disparity. The earlier reservation was in need of the hour to give everyone equal opportunity but now things have changed so far. Now reservation is not the desired need. I have seen so many examples like ST/SC people enjoying high-quality life still getting reservation which is totally unfair. Now we have to understand the need of an hour. In the present scenario instead of reservation, subsidies should be given to all those who don't have access to get educated. Benefits should be availed on the basis of the financial status of an individual. Then only social disparity can be eradicated and equality can be spread in real terms.
