Is India a Soft Nation?

Hello friends.

I have few points why India is a soft nation.

1. We actually maintain a good relation with the other countries following the principles our great leaders.

2. One more thing is that India is a country with different religious and we all are living with great relationships these can can showcase our greatness.

I have to say that in some cases India it has not show their softness to the social evils like women harassment, dowry, corruption etc.

My opinion is that our India is soft country because we have various community and they are following their own culture. Also every one has freedom to follow their own culture.

After reading all the opinions, I think everyone has their own stand on this. But according to my knowledge India is a soft as well as a hard nation.

Soft because India is a sacrificing and tolerating country. When we see our history there are many intelligent minds who fought for our country and sacrificed their lives for the Indian freedom. On the other side India maintains the peace with all the countries, it welcomes all the foreigners, receives them as a guest people in India has a great family relationships.

While coming to hard, there are some of the social evils which are still making India as a developing country like dowry system, caste system, corruption in all sectors. Women domination etc. India becomes a perfect nation when Indian citizens know their responsibilities, when they come out of these social evils.

I think India is more soft than hard because in India we have various religious and groups who doesn't let the leaders to take some hard decisions in Kashmir issue even after winning the war we could have vacated the Pakistan army from Pakistan occupied Kashmir but we didn't and that soft behaviour of India is paying off in terms of cease fire violation every day in J&K.

Well according to me India is soft as well as a hard nation. We follow the principles of both Gandhi and Bose.

We are trying to solve issue of Kashmir without any war or violence but on the other hand we fought a furious war against Pakistan in 1971 to liberate Bangladesh making it a independent nation. That was in terms of foreign policy. But within the country also we can see a soft and a hard nation.

Is India a soft nation?

Just like a coin has two sides similar is in this question too.

If we have a look at north eastern states which have different problems and peculiarities like these areas are less accessible to people moreover the porous nature of the border enables easy cross for criminals or terrorists. In addition to these they have education problems, electricity problems and many more!we have week foreign policies and no strong rules are made against punishments to the terrorists found. So in these cases India isn't taking actions and is a soft nation.

Whereas on the other side of it India's first interplanetary mission was introduced last year. We are the first Asian nation to reach Mars orbit, and the first nation in the world to do so in its first attempt. Plus nuclear progress in India also depicts that India isn't soft nation. We all know the conclusion of a "preliminary contract to develop a power plant in Gujarat" by Westinghouse and Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) was announced in a joint statement by Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh and US president Barack Obama.

So all these points and many more concludes that India can be called a soft nation and cannot. But there are few things like terrorism etc where our country shouldn't show the soft phase rather fight with it aggressively!

In my opinion Indian is a literally very soft nation. You can judge this view by the terror attack of 26/11 where the most danger terrorist Kasab caught during the attack and our government of that time spend lot of money at that terrorist.

We lost many honorable Intelligent and courageous officers now we are missing them because they were the very special creature of God and we didn't want to lose them but the bloody terror attack were the end of their life. I think this loose softness is in our law, our political leader not in our nation. Our nation is very very strong for stronger and soft for softer.

Yes. I thinks to be say that India now become a soft nation because if we see in our entire india, the India is a only nation which there where a lots of freat superior mans born and the greats work should be done by these such mans. Like we see our PM Mr. Narendra Modi released a lots of great ideas to secure our nation by giving his thought to develop our nation and to develop India.

Talking in favour of the topic I would say, yes India is a soft nation with huge hard heart. Yes there are some incidents such as.

1. The father of India Mahatma Gandhiji declared that anyone can live in India and there will be no army for India. That was a soft decision taken for this soft nation.

2. Mr. Narendra Modi as in now very softly making India heading towards to become a developed nation simply by their soft ideas & roaming around the world and uniting Indians.

3. Also, this soft nation has soft spoken Indians everywhere in the world in whichever country we see and also at the higher level.

4. Indians are peace loving and a soft nation. A nation which teaches moral values.

Yes a nice topic for discussion, I think India is continuously changing its status i.e. from soft to hard nation I want to verify my points by saying that our army personnel are brave one's but are not retaliate in that manner which can make the enemy to think upon our strength, as our soldiers gets be headed and we always remain reactive not proactive.

And in terms of hard nation we all have must heard about the war of 1971 in which our former primer minister Smt. Indira Gandhi took an proactive actions and attack on the house of east Pakistan's and stated a victory.

So by this action it is evident that our country is reactive as well as proactive.
