GST i.e. Goods and Services tax is a very good initiative taken by the government. GST is added at each step pf the production process but it is refunded for everyone other than the final consumer. The GST on products is divided into 5 slabs, i.e.0%, 5%, 12%, 18% and 28%.
However, GST is not applicable on Petroleum products and alcohol right now. But it is necessary to bring these products under GST to reduce the high prices of petrol.
India has dual GST, Central GST and State GST.
However, it was opposed by the opposition parties because they believed it was virtually same as the earlier system of taxation.

Good morning sir,
Thank you so much for giving such an opportunity to express my views over Gst.
Yes, I support this central govt idea. It is very good initiatives one nation one tax system. For this, the whole country will be given the same tax for the same thing. For this, there is no variation of price of an element in the whole country and Unscrupulous businessman don't fulfilment their bad intention. If it properly implemented in our country the economy of our country will grow faster. So the government should look at the matter if it implements all over the country uniformly. Thank you once again.

In my point of view, GST is good as well as bad depending on the level or part of the people we are talking.
It is implemented in different ways as CGST and SGST. Good in the way that every one have to pay tax. Their is transparency in taxation system. Tax revenue increases and much more.
Definitely, these points help the country to grow.
But the other part also for the Petrol and alcohol. Why it not come under GST.
It will benefit if they both come under GST.
If we talk about small shops which are shutdown. But if they get registered it benefits both country as well as them.

Yes, Because with the implementation of GST all the other indirect taxes have been removed. GST is a combination of all the indirect taxes. Due to GST, tax cannot be charged at all the stages through which a product or service passes from manufacturer to the customer. Tax is charged only once. The main reason of implementing GST was to make nation tax compliant by charging only one tax instead of multiple. Though the direct taxes have to be paid but it has become easier to pay taxes now after implementation of GST though initially it was difficult for people to understand it.

GST replaces taxes like service tax, entertainment tax, VAT, and some other taxes with a single tax.
It helps to collect taxes even from the small firm or industry owner which somehow increases government collection.
Also, across the different region of the country tax amount paid on a particular product is the same. So, our economy is going to get much improved and our GDP will rise in future.
One of the disadvantages which I come to know that it does not impose on alcohol, diesel and petroleum-like products which are the major sources of taxes.

Hello, Everyone.
Goods or services tax is a great initiative by the central government since it helps to mitigate the problem of unequal tax-paying across various parts of the country which has greatly reduced malpractices in the corporate world as well. GST has also helped to make the process of tax return filing easier since it ensures that all the taxes are paid at a time which is in July. Another advantage of GST is that it attracts more and more multinational companies to invest in India since these companies prefer these types of tax models.

Hello, every one.
According to my view, Gst has implemented all the supply of goods and service excluding alcoholic liqueur for human consumption.
It is imposed on all states without Jammu and Kashmir.
Before the introduction of Gst, in India there are so many taxes like service tax, entertainment tax, vat, toll tax etc were levied on goods. These taxes were different in different states, but after the introduction of Gst, there is only one tax into India. Gst rates 0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, 28%. So the GST is really one nation and one tax.
Thank you.

Gst is goods and service tax implemented by the government of India in 2017 by eliminating all type of taxes such as service tax, excise duty etc and merge them into a single tax. However it is said to be one nation one tax but this line doesn't suit the system, as get is not implemented over petroleum and alcoholic product so indirectly a large no of taxes enjoyed by the government.
All we can say that it has merit as well as a demerit. Merit like we get the stuff in the same price all over India and demerit as I have mentioned above.

Hai good evening.
According to my opinion, GST would be very beneficial not only for the poor but also for the development of the entire Indian system. It raises India to a high economic nation through which India is at par with developed nations and left behind some developing nations.
It really works like a revenue-generating mechanism. It suppressed a lot many tax evaders who had been hidden before the implementation of GST. Now it is waking the minds of every individual how to prove yourself in helping the nation.

Hello everyone.
So the topic given to us for GD is GST, that is goods and service tax. GST is an indirect tax which is levied on all the goods and services. It follows one nation one tax policy. Also, it eliminates the various direct and indirect taxes which are imposed earlier like custom tax, income tax, excuse duty etc.
I am in favour of GST as it helped in the country's development and made the tax system easier and more transparent. Now I would like to invite you all to express your opinions on this.
