What I think is attendance shouldn't be compulsory because in college a student is quite mature to think what beneficial for him And for how long some one will force someone to do things. On the other hand the college should have strict examination so that the student whether they come to college or not must prepare for that for a good future. And the college should make such a environment in the class room and the campus that the student's is pushed to the college by his conscience. Thank you.

Compulsory attendance really not needed in college because if student doesn't want to come their class just because of poor quality of teachers or their teaching style. If our teachers will enable to make the class interesting and more practical instead of theoretical then students will definitely come by their own choice that would be better.

According to me, attendance is not needed in colleges because students are mature enough to think what they need. Physical Presence will not work. It is not the right time to force the college students to attend classes compulsory since they are capable of taking their decisions.

Hii friends,
I think attendance is not mandatory in colleges. In the school it is good for students because discipline but in college students are mature they know what to be do & what not to be do. In some of the college forcing to student attend the class, & they not present then pay fine. Then students have no option they come college but only physically not mentally. They can mentally disturb.

It shouldn't be compulsory as there are almost 60% students who do not like attend the lecture. They will be forced to attend the lecture I which they are not at all interested, they will disturb the whole class as not at all interested in the teacher pitch. Which will shake the balance of the purpose of that lecture? But the positive side is that it forces students to make their timetable which will make them more punctual.

No ways. Attendance is something which should never be binding on someone, the reason being in places like India people park their vehicles only where the board of no packing hangs. The reason is that people start evading as soon as something becomes binding.
Moreover, compulsion can never bring more laurels for the country at the university level. Where students are grown enough. Instead one should focus on making the curriculum so interesting that students feel like going to college with enthusiasm. Once this is done attendance will increase automatically and will bring medals as well.

Attendance is something to make one understand the need of hour and lead him towards a well-maintained schedule which is must for a beginner but for a college student I think it act as a cage or a well practice idea of 12 years (as attendance is compulsory in school, it must b) to stop him thinking out of the box which is must create something new something which opens the doors to new arena for human race. . Because I feel that entering the college life is entering the adulthood and to experience its life free of all bounds and using his experience of 12 years of studying in breaking all limits. But with this view, I also want to say that relaxation in ATTENDANCE does not mean of getting stray from your aim.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I think attendance should be compulsory in college, as many of students depend on their private tuition. But from college's teacher we get a lot of knowledge, idea also. Most of the students only focus on their theory but they don't interest in practical or projects. So, that their application knowledge is very poor, their carriers face lots of problems also. To bring discipline and attendance really needed. In this way, students can learn its positivity and build a goods relation both professors and students.

I Think attendance should not compulsory in colleges. I am not saying you don't need to come college but if you are coming college only for attendance then there is no sense for coming. As you all know that there are three types of students one who is intelligent second who is average and the third one who just want to attend college only for fun. I think the 70% attendance should be sufficient for all students who are seriously attending the classes on regular basis.

Attendance should not at all be made compulsory in colleges. There are many students who are more interested in some other activities instead of coming to colleges. A student studying in college is no more a child and does not need someone to guide him/her continuously.
College going students are all grown ups. They can manage their studies on their own. Different students have different needs and desires. Not everyone wants to become a doctor and engineer. Gone are the days when people have such kind of mindset that people with no education can never be successful. Many students are doing excel in different fields such as sports, some are interested in starting their own startup, some want to make dance as their career, some want to become singer, some actor and many more. They can't become successful if they are made to attend their classes in colleges every single day. Thus concessions in attendance are what the need of an hour. Those who actually want to study and are more interested in achieving higher degrees then it is very well that they attend all classes but for those categories of students whose main aim is different for them a minimum thirty percent attendance is more than enough. Government needs to revise its policies on colleges and minimum attendance compulsory such that everyone can outshine in their area of interest which will ultimately contribute to our country's growth.
