Is compulsory attendance really needed in college?

In my opinion attendance is mandatory Yes It's really mandatory. Especially for professional students attendance is mandatory cuz by attending the classes we can learn some thing in a day.
Advantage: one of the main advantage is you will get some knowledge about your subjects and you will get a good score in your midterm exams, internal and externals lab & semesters buy end of your graduation you will have a good percentile.

I don't think that attendance for a college student should be necessary. Because there is no use of attendance, as students use proxy. Moreover if a student has interest in lectures of a professor then he/she would attend the lecture on his/her own. Besides If a student is good at sports or something else then he /she would go for those classes, then she/he will have to bunk the classes. That's why I think there is no need of attendance.

Yes, I agree with this statement. If there would be no attendance issue many of the students would rarely come to class or could be absent during whole semester. Due to this lazy peoples will surely spoil their life by just sleeping in their rooms. If they attend class even if the professor is not teaching well but somehow they will come to know that what to study and learn so that in the exam time they would not face any difficulties.

Yes, Of course, Compulsory attendance is needed in college so that all students would attend the college instead of wasting their fruitful time, doing gossips on unused topics and banking the college for wasteful things and if sometimes really student had some important work he could take the permission of teachers instead of bunking the college. From this students will learn the meaning of punctuality, regularity, discipline, Etc.

If they are enough mature to prefer the course, then they are enough matured to decide this thing too. As an engineer, my attendance is not more than 20% but still managed to enter the top 5. Anyway proxy are mandatory at least

It shouldn't be compulsory as there are almost 60% students who do not like attend the lecture. They will be forced to attend the lecture I which they are not at all interested, they will disturb the whole class as not at all interested in the teacher pitch. Which will shake the balance of the purpose of that lecture? But the positive side is that it forces students to make their timetable which will make them more punctual.

In college first and the second year is the base for the student so the attendance would be 100%. After that student needs to work on this skill. So its required spam time. In day by day, the competition is tough. The Student also needs work on the skill. In college theory and practical performance is always needed. 60% in a 3rd and 4th year is good enough.

Hi guys,
Every private college follows own rules for presenting the student in class. If the students have not present in class, there are different kinds of warning given to the student.
According to my opinion, it is important to attending the college not only for the attendence but gaining some knowledge. It is necessary to self-study of cracking entrance exam but it is also important to attending the class.

In my point of view the attendance is not compulsory in colleges because everyone have their own talent which means someone talent in playing, talking, singing so they should have to spend more time for their interested area not lazy, if the attendance is a compulsory one then they are not able to spend time for his/her interested areas, but most of the students are think very proud to bunk classrooms.

Hello everyone.
In my opinion attendance in collage should not be compulsory because in graduation students are not as like as school kids who is not mature enough to take good decision for their future so if students got concession in attendance then they have much time to explore to ourselves according to their interest and demand of market and it not like learning and mugging 19th century technologies in 20th century.
